Musk Vows Full-Time Dedication to Companies

Elon Musk, the man who juggles more hats than a circus performer, has promised to dive back into his business empire with a relentless 24/7 work ethic after a major outage rocked his social media platform X.

According to Newsmax, on Saturday, X faced a significant disruption that left tens of thousands of users in the United States and beyond unable to access the platform, while Musk later announced a renewed focus on his companies, including X, xAI, and Tesla.

The outage hit hard early Saturday morning, with Downdetector.com noting over 25,800 reported issues at its peak around 8:51 a.m. ET. Users across the U.S. weren’t the only ones left in the digital dark—folks in Germany, Spain, France, India, Canada, Australia, and Britain also struggled to log in.

Musk's X Platform Faces Major Outage

By 11:26 a.m. ET, relief came as the number of outage reports dropped below 500, signaling that X was back online for most users. Still, the silence from X’s official channels was deafening, as they offered no comment when pressed by Reuters. One has to wonder if a little more transparency might prevent the next online uproar.

Downdetector.com, which tracks such disruptions by compiling user reports and other sources, painted a clear picture of the global scale of this tech hiccup. It’s a reminder that even giants like X can stumble when the digital infrastructure wobbles. Turns out, no platform is too big to fail. Amid this tech turmoil, Elon Musk dropped a bombshell on Tuesday with a post on X that grabbed attention. "Back to spending 24/7 at work and sleeping in conference/server/factory rooms," he declared.

Musk Shifts Focus Back to Business

Continuing his statement, Musk added, "I must be super focused on X/xAI and Tesla (plus Starship launch next week), as we have critical technologies rolling out." Well, if that’s not a signal of dedication, what is? Perhaps it’s time for critics to admit that Musk’s work ethic is anything but half-hearted.

This pivot comes after Musk shelled out nearly $300 million last year to back President Donald Trump’s campaign and other Republican causes. Now, he’s announced plans to dial back political spending, likely to the relief of investors who’ve been jittery about his divided attention.

Investors at Tesla, in particular, have been vocal about Musk’s time management, especially as the company reported its first annual drop in deliveries last year. A slump in sales, partly fueled by protests against Tesla in the U.S. and Europe over Musk’s political stances, hasn’t helped matters. Actions, as they say, carry weight—and sometimes a hefty price tag.

Tesla Sales Slump Amid Political Backlash

Musk’s political involvement hasn’t just stirred controversy; it’s led to real-world consequences for his electric vehicle empire. Protests tied to his views have dented Tesla’s image, contributing to that troubling sales decline. It’s a classic case of ideology clashing with the bottom line.

Then there’s Musk’s recent stint leading the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, which aimed to slash thousands of jobs and nix billions in contracts and grants. Last month, he told investors he’d cut back his time with DOGE to just a day or two a week starting in May. A wise move, perhaps, to keep the focus where the profits are.

Shareholders have been clear: they want Musk’s genius locked on Tesla and his other ventures, not spread thin across political crusades. The man’s got a knack for innovation, but even a visionary can’t be everywhere at once.

Investors Demand Musk’s Full Attention

With critical projects on the horizon, like the Starship launch Musk mentioned, his renewed commitment to sleeping in server rooms might just be what his companies need. X’s outage was a wake-up call—tech empires don’t run on autopilot.

While some may scoff at Musk’s political past, his decision to refocus on business shows a pragmatic side that even his detractors might appreciate. After all, building the future—whether through electric cars, AI, or space travel—takes more than tweets and headlines.

So, as Musk gears up for another round of all-nighters, the question remains: can he steer X, Tesla, and xAI back to smooth sailing? If history is any guide, betting against him might be a fool’s errand. But in a world quick to judge, he’ll need more than grit to prove the naysayers wrong.
