A New York dad is wanted for allegedly pushing his estranged girlfriend and infant from a Bronx balcony after bringing flowers to reconcile over domestic violence charges.

Law enforcement sources told the New York Post that Angel Carrasco, 31, shoved Nathaly Ramirez, 23, and their 5-month-old daughter from a 15th-floor balcony at 2550 Olinville Ave. after a makeup attempt collapsed into rage.

Cops responded to the 18-story building around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday. Ramirez was pronounced dead. The baby, Angel Novalty Carrasco-Ramirez, was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where she remains in stable condition after initially fighting for her life.

Carrasco fled the scene. He left behind the bouquet he had brought that day. A wanted poster went out Wednesday as an intense manhunt continued.

Flowers arrived the same day the balcony fall happened

Carrasco had shown up with flowers in an effort to patch things up. Sources said he had been accused of two domestic violence attacks against Ramirez earlier this year.

On Jan. 5 he was charged with third-degree assault for allegedly slapping her and leaving her bruised after she complained about him chatting with an ex-girlfriend. Three days later he faced a burglary charge for breaking into her apartment and waiting for her. That case was later sealed.

He also stood accused of sending threatening texts to an ex-girlfriend. Court records showed at least two other arrests in 2016 for false impersonation and marijuana possession, plus additional sealed cases.

The makeup bid went south. Sources said Carrasco lost his cool, flew into a rage, and pushed Ramirez while she clutched their daughter.

Neighbor heard a male voice shout and a woman beg

Building tenant Robin Mendzies described the sounds that woke the building.

"I heard someone shouting, ‘Jump!’ It was a male voice,"

Mendzies continued.

"Then I heard a big thud and a woman wailing, ‘No please, no!’ It sounded like she was begging for an inevitable thing not to happen."

She later said the same thought stayed with her that morning.

Outside the building, a diaper and the baby’s blanket lay on the ground in the hours after the fall. By Wednesday a memorial of candles, flowers, and a photo of Ramirez stood at the site.

Friends and coworkers remember a young mother protecting her child

High school friend Dominique Rosado pointed to the final act of the 23-year-old mother.

"In the last moment of her life she was protecting her daughter,"

Rosado said.

"That’s what it means to be a mother. She was a good mother."

She urged other domestic violence victims to get help before it is too late and called for Carrasco’s capture.

"Get him out of here. Get him off the streets."

Ramirez graduated from Bronx Leadership Academy High School and studied psychology at Baruch. She worked at Lishawn Consulting in Manhattan. A company representative called her “a rising star” who was “very hardworking, showed tenacity and dedication to pursue her career goals.” Neighbors described her as a very sweet and doting mom.

Prior charges did not keep him away

The January assault and burglary cases came months before the balcony incident. One case was sealed. Details on the outcomes of the earlier charges were not immediately available. Carrasco still gained access that night, brought flowers, and left a mother dead and an infant hospitalized.

Police continue to search for him. The baby remains under care at Jacobi Hospital. The memorial outside 2550 Olinville Ave. marks the spot where a young woman’s life ended and her daughter’s fight began.

When repeat domestic violence charges fail to separate an accused abuser from his victims, mothers and babies are the ones left to absorb the next explosion of rage.
