With every new poll that is taken, Joe Biden’s age becomes a more prominent factor in the election.
The most recent polling shows that 77 percent of Americans think Biden is too old for office, including 69 percent of Democrats.
Is this an issue that Biden can overcome or is this the issue that hands the GOP the election?
The polling numbers here cannot be overlooked, but this goes well beyond the polling.
Biden has embarrassed himself and this country on the world stage numerous times, and voters are noticing.
Biden is clearly not in control, which is what bothers people more than anything.
That is a tricky question because Trump is only three years behind Joe Biden in age. If Trump were to win office, he would be in his 80s when he finished his term, just like Biden.
The difference is that Trump is far sharper than Biden mentally. You can criticize him for his rants and policies, but I don’t think you can compare the actual mental state of the two on the cognizance level.
Having said that, if I were on Trump’s team, I would leave hitting this point to the surrogates and stay away from attacking Biden on age.
In all honesty, I would stay away from the age factor altogether because, by polling, people are clearly aware of it. I would backdoor these attacks by going after the falls, the mental gaffes, and the policy walk-backs by his team.
This still brings to light his age, but does so in a way where the campaign cannot be accused of elderly abuse.
If Biden, for any reason, is no longer on the ballot, I honestly do not know where the party goes from there.
Gavin Newsom is probably their best bet, but the man comes with a lot of baggage that would really hurt him in a general election.
Shockingly, when you look at the polls, the only person in the Democrat Party that polls better than Joe is Michelle Obama, and she has no interest in running, so I think the Dems are stuck with their 80-year-old horse.
I can’t believe that Biden got elected the first time, let alone still in the running for 2024.
I would have bet the under for him finishing this term as I was convinced he would step down and hand it over to Kamala Harris.
However, now I think the Hunter Biden nonsense has taken over, and I think Joe is convinced he needs to stay in office to protect Hunter.
I mean, let’s face facts: if Hunter Biden goes down, he is not strong enough to handle jail, and one would have to think he would start singing like a canary fairly quickly.
If Biden loses this election, the protections are gone, so Joe is in this all the way, age challenges or not.
