Amidst a backdrop of controversial elections in Belarus, Rubio attributes this successful release to President Donald Trump's assertive foreign policy, Fox News reported.
Belarus incarcerated Anastassia Nuhfer during the administration of former President Joe Biden and unilaterally released her. Rubio publicly announced her release this Sunday, coinciding with the Belarusian national elections.
