Actor Keegan Allen was pistol-whipped in a bloody West Hollywood robbery, then called out Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass over California’s crime failures.

Two masked men in dark clothing cornered the Pretty Little Liars star in a grocery parking lot, one with a silver handgun and the other with a knife, and demanded his watch and bracelet before striking him in the face and fleeing.

Page Six obtained 911 dispatch audio from the Thursday night attack outside Laurel Supply at 8445 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded just after 9 p.m. to a call logged as a robbery.

Allen, 37, also known for roles in Walker and King Cobra, told deputies what happened when they arrived. He later posted graphic Instagram video of the blood running down his face and pressed California’s top Democrats over the crime tools they promote.

Gun and knife in a West Hollywood parking lot

A Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department representative described the account deputies took on scene.

The rep said:

“Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult, who stated he was approached by two male adults dressed in black clothing. One suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victim while the other pointed a knife and demanded the victim’s watch and bracelet,”

The statement continued:

“Shortly after, the victim was struck in the face with the handgun. The suspects obtained the victim’s watch and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.”

Allen’s own video matched that core sequence. He said he was outside Laurel Supply, asked someone to call police, and described two men who hit him in the head, pointed a gun and a knife, wore masks, and took off with his watch.

“These two dudes hit me in the head, pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off,” he said on Instagram.

He later called the theft secondary to the violence. “The watch is a bummer,” Allen wrote, “but having a gun and knife in my face and then brutally hit across the face and head was so unnecessary.” He also said the men “pistol-whipped” him and that the bracelet was “not easy to take off.”

Blood on camera, then a hospital bed

The Instagram footage showed a deep laceration at the top of his head and blood down the left side of his face and neck. He held up a bloody arm and flashed what he presented as surveillance video of the ambush.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel medically evaluated him at the scene and did not transport him, the Sheriff’s Department said. Allen later wrote that he was “def concussed and at hospital.”

No arrests were announced in the initial reporting. The suspects left in an unknown vehicle.

Allen puts Newsom and Bass on the spot

From the aftermath, Allen aimed straight at the state’s Democratic leadership and the surveillance network they have sold as a crime solution. The New York Post reported his public challenge over Flock cameras, the license-plate and street surveillance systems California officials have touted.

Allen wrote on Instagram:

“Let’s hope all these flock cameras that @karenbassla @gavinnewsom and everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals. God bless,”

Mayor Karen Bass’s office called the attack “egregious” and said “no one should have to experience something like this.” Her office also noted that West Hollywood sits outside Los Angeles city limits and that the Sheriff’s Department is leading the probe, with LAPD ready to assist regional partners if needed. It remained unclear whether Flock footage would factor into the hunt.

Allen did not stop at cameras. He said the city “doesn’t allow concealed carry,” and he described feeling unsafe in West Hollywood after years of decline. California rules are more tangled than a sound bite: a person with a valid, California-recognized concealed-carry permit may carry on public streets and sidewalks in West Hollywood, though rules tighten around private businesses open to the public.

That legal maze did nothing for Allen when two masked men put a gun and a knife in his face over a watch.

Deputies on the radio, suspects in the wind

Dispatchers flagged an assault at the Santa Monica Boulevard address shortly before deputies rolled up. Officers took Allen’s statement, firefighters checked his injuries, and the men who robbed him were already gone.

Page Six sought comment from Allen’s representatives and did not get an immediate response. The Sheriff’s Department investigation continued without a public suspect identification in the first wave of reporting.

A working actor left a luxury grocery lot bloodied, short a watch, and asking whether the state’s preferred tech and the leaders who champion it can deliver basic safety. California’s political class has plenty of cameras, talking points, and carry restrictions. Victims still get pistol-whipped in the parking lot.
