Vice President Kamala Harris Displays Her Pricy Jewelry Collection

 October 9, 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris's jewelry box holds more than just memories.

Daily Mail Online reports that Harris has amassed a jewelry collection worth over $200,000, featuring high-end pieces from renowned brands such as Cartier, Tiffany, and Irene Neuwirth. This revelation comes as a stark contrast to her self-described modest, middle-class background and her focus on creating an "opportunity economy" for all Americans.

The Vice President's collection includes a variety of luxury items, from her signature pearl necklaces to expensive watches and gold chains. One of the most notable pieces is an $18,500 gold Tiffany necklace, which Harris wore during a recent trip to the border. This piece alone represents a significant portion of her jewelry collection's value.

Harris's watch collection is particularly impressive, featuring three Cartier timepieces. The most valuable among them is a steel and gold Ballon Bleu model, currently priced at $16,500. According to a Swiss watch expert on TikTok, Harris's 18-carat gold Cartier Panthère watch, which she owned in 2001, would have cost $13,554 at the time of purchase. Today, similar models retail for $23,100.

Pearls and Precious Stones: Harris's Signature Style

The Vice President's affinity for pearls is well-documented, with numerous pearl necklaces and earrings in her collection. One of her favorite pieces appears to be an 18-carat gold gumball pearl link necklace by designer Irene Neuwirth, valued at $18,680. Harris has been seen wearing this necklace repeatedly since 2019.

Another standout piece is a pearl and turquoise necklace, also by Neuwirth, which Harris wore during her vice-presidential debate with Mike Pence in 2020. This stunning piece is reportedly worth $26,440, making it one of the most expensive items in her collection.

Harris's jewelry wardrobe also includes pieces featuring semi-precious stones like labradorite. A rose gold and labradorite necklace, paired with matching studs, was featured in her 2021 Vogue cover. The necklace alone is valued at $15,380, while the earrings cost $2,660.

Luxury Brands and Custom Pieces in Harris's Collection

The Vice President's jewelry box isn't limited to just one or two luxury brands. In addition to Cartier and Irene Neuwirth, Harris owns pieces from Tiffany & Co. and Marco Bicego. One of the most striking items is a custom-made pearl and diamond 'Eclipse' necklace by Wilfredo Rosado, valued at an impressive $46,000.

Harris's Tiffany collection includes the aforementioned gold link necklace and a pair of pearl drop earrings worth $12,000. These earrings recently became the subject of a baseless conspiracy theory, with some social media users falsely claiming they were disguised Bluetooth earphones.

While much of Harris's collection consists of high-end pieces, she does own some relatively more affordable items. For instance, she has a pair of gold stud earrings by Italian designer Marco Bicego, which retail for $990. Harris also owns a gold and mother-of-pearl necklace by the same designer, priced at $4,450.

The Contrast Between Harris's Jewelry and Political Message

The revelation of Harris's extensive jewelry collection has raised eyebrows, given her political stance and public image. As a Democrat who often speaks about economic equality and creating opportunities for all Americans, the Vice President's luxury accessories present a stark contrast to her message.

Harris has frequently described herself as coming from a modest, middle-class background. In recent campaign appearances, she has emphasized her plans to create an "opportunity economy" where everyone can "own a home, build wealth, start a business." However, her personal collection of high-end jewelry, with many pieces costing more than the average American's annual salary, seems at odds with this narrative.

It's worth noting that politicians' personal wealth and spending habits often come under scrutiny, particularly when they advocate for economic policies aimed at helping the less fortunate. Harris's jewelry collection, while impressive, may become a talking point for her critics and political opponents in future discussions about wealth inequality and economic policy.
