Veteran Sniper: Trump Shooter Had Help

 July 16, 2024

By now, people are beginning to jump to a lot of conclusions due to the massive security breaches during the Trump rally that led to a 20-year-old being able to get a shot off to try to assassinate Donald Trump.

A veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces now claims there is simply no way that happened without some inside help for the shooter.

Talking Points…
- The shot
- Alleged inside help
- Analysis

Taking the Shot

The shot that was taken seemed improbable to even take place that close to a former president and current presidential candidate. First and foremost, we are talking about a 20-year-old young man with no military experience trying to get into a position with the Secret Service on the scene as well as local and state police.

The shot was taken from an elevated position less than 200 yards from where Trump was speaking. This surely was identified as a problem spot by the Secret Service, which typically comes out days before an appearance to survey the area and complete a security plan to keep the president safe.

Videos from the attempted assassination clearly show the shooter getting into place and crowd members pointing to him to alert officers that a man with a gun had climbed up on the roof. Not only that, but it also appeared that the Secret Service sniper had the shooter in his sights for a few minutes before the shot was taken. There was also a report that a local officer climbed up on the roof, but when the shooter raised his gun, he retreated.

From what I could see, there was no chopper in the area either, which I have seen in past appearances. The helicopter usually stays overhead to warn of any sudden movements that could present a risk to the president. All of these breakdowns led to the shooter being able to get off a shot, that were it not for the fact Trump had turned to look at a screen at the very moment the shot was fired, Trump would have been killed by the shot.

He Had Inside Help

Dallas Alexander, a 17-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, having spent 14 of those years as a sniper, posted a report on Instagram that he believes all of this points to an inside job. Alexander stated:

“I’m very familiar with the layout of these types of things and what the job should be.

“And yesterday, what happened, I have no doubts in my mind that the shooter had help from somewhere within an agency, an organization, or the government.”

He added:

“The second I saw that aerial photo of what they were saying happened, it immediately made no sense to me.”

Alexander concluded:

“Something happened. I’m not pointing fingers at anyone — it’s just too obvious that this guy had help getting there. Whether someone turned a blind eye or it was strategically planned.

“Events like that, security like that … it’s not a small thing, and that is the most obvious place to be.”

Analysis

I tend to agree with Alexander on this one. Even though the Secret Service is pointing the finger at local police for not properly covering the area, ultimately, the Secret Service has the lead on these operations. If that rooftop was identified as a problem area, and I guarantee it was, why were there not snipers, or, at the very least, officers posted on that rooftop. Are we to believe that because the rooftop was outside the direct perimeter, the Secret Service turned over all security planning to local police?

From my days in the hotel industry, I know for a fact how advance teams are sent out by the Secret Service to check for problem areas and vet anyone that will be within reach of a public official. During an election year, my hotel was one of many that hosted events for an RNC convention, and Secret Service, local police, and state police were everywhere, including the air, so why was Trump not afforded that coverage? At best, this was a horrible lack of planning, and at worst, someone allowed this to play out. Hopefully, we will get an honest investigation to tell us exactly who is to blame, and they will be held accountable for their actions.
