Trump task force uncovers anti-Christian bias in federal agencies

 September 6, 2025, NEWS

President Donald Trump has launched a bold strike against what many see as a troubling trend of anti-Christian bias in the federal government, with a newly formed task force revealing shocking findings about the previous administration’s policies.

Through the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias, chaired by Attorney General Pam Bondi, a damning report exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital exposes numerous instances of discriminatory practices against Christians across multiple federal agencies during the Biden administration.

This initiative began with President Trump signing an executive order in February to establish a White House Faith Office under the Domestic Policy Council, aimed at empowering faith-based groups and aligning policy with traditional American values. The task force itself held its first meeting in April, with Bondi addressing the issue at the Department of Justice headquarters in Washington on April 22, 2025. Before this, members conducted initial reviews to pinpoint unlawful practices targeting Christians.

Disturbing Patterns of Bias Revealed

The report paints a grim picture of religious liberty under siege, with the task force uncovering a pattern of neglect and outright hostility toward Christian perspectives in federal operations. At the Department of Defense, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Department of Labor, requests for religious exemptions to COVID-19 mandates were sidelined or flat-out denied.

Meanwhile, the Department of Education under the previous administration tried to slap Christian universities like Liberty University and Grand Canyon University with massive fines of $14 million and $37.7 million, respectively. One has to wonder if this was less about oversight and more about sending a message to institutions grounded in faith.

Over at the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection issued directives for detainees that conveniently ignored Christian needs while catering to other faiths like Islam and Rastafarianism. If equality is the goal, why the glaring omission? It’s hard not to see this as a deliberate snub.

Justice Department’s Selective Enforcement

The Department of Justice, under the prior leadership, showed a startling lack of zeal in prosecuting cases of anti-Christian bias, while aggressively pursuing novel legal theories against individuals expressing their faith through speech or peaceful demonstrations. “Instead, during that time, the DOJ pursued novel theories of prosecution against those speaking or demonstrating based upon their Christian faith,” the task force report notes. This cherry-picking of justice raises serious questions about fairness in enforcement.

Even more telling, the DOJ arrested and convicted roughly two dozen people under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act for praying outside abortion facilities. “Yet, the same DOJ refused to apply the FACE Act to protect places of worship and crisis pregnancy centers,” the report states. Such selective application of the law feels less like justice and more like a targeted agenda.

Perhaps most chilling, an FBI memo labeled “radical-traditionalist” Catholics as potential domestic terrorism threats. This kind of profiling based on religious belief is the sort of overreach that should alarm anyone who values freedom, regardless of faith.

Systemic Discrimination Across Agencies

The Treasury Department wasn’t immune either, with numerous pro-Christian groups finding themselves “debanked” under the previous administration’s watch. Meanwhile, the Department of State showed muted responses to attacks on Christians abroad and provided limited humanitarian relief compared to other groups.

State Department employees also faced apparent bias, with leave for Christian holidays less likely to be approved than for non-Christian observances, alongside preferential hiring practices that seemed to disfavor Christians. Add to that the imposition of progressive gender ideology—complete with mandatory pronoun usage and rainbow flags—and it’s clear many Christians felt their beliefs were under direct assault.

Other agencies followed suit, with the Department of Labor dismantling its faith-based initiatives office in favor of a diversity, equity, and inclusion focus, while the Department of Housing and Urban Development treated social media posts for Christian holidays differently, often removing them while leaving posts for other celebrations untouched. It’s a pattern that suggests systemic bias, not mere oversight.

Trump’s Commitment to Religious Liberty

White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers didn’t hold back, stating, “Joe Biden weaponized the full weight of the federal government against Christians.” That’s a heavy charge, but the task force’s findings seem to back it up with hard evidence of discriminatory policies.

Rogers added, “Unlike Joe Biden, President Trump is protecting Christians, not punishing them.” If this report is any indication, the current administration is determined to flip the script, ensuring faith isn’t treated as a liability but as a fundamental liberty worth defending.

The task force’s work is far from over, with a final report expected by February 2026 to detail the full extent of anti-Christian bias in federal operations. Their commitment is clear: “The federal government will never again be permitted to turn its power against people of faith,” as the report boldly declares. For those who’ve felt marginalized by bureaucratic overreach, this promise offers a glimmer of hope in a landscape too often hostile to traditional values.
