Trump Reveals New Nominees For DOJ And U.S. Ambassador Positions

President-elect Trump has made several significant nominations for crucial roles within the U.S. government.

According to Fox News, His announcements include names for the Department of Justice and the U.S. Ambassador to Italy alongside a key transportation role.

Aaron Reitz, a foremost figure linked with Senator Ted Cruz, has been nominated to lead the DOJ's Office of Legal Policy. Reitz has previously engaged in high-profile legal battles against the Biden Administration, signaling a continuation of a stark law and order agenda.

A New Era For The DOJ And Transportation Leadership

Reitz's experience includes his role as Deputy to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. His aggressive stance in legal settings has marked him as a significant conservative legal figure. Following Reitz's nomination, Trump lauded his qualifications and loyalty.

"Aaron Reitz would 'develop and implement DOJ’s battle plans to advance my Law and Order Agenda, and restore integrity to our Justice System,'" said President-elect Trump. This assertion underlines Reitz's anticipated role in Trump's administration. He added, "Aaron is a true MAGA attorney, a warrior for our Constitution, and will do an outstanding job at DOJ. Congratulations Aaron!"

Trump also nominated Chad Mizelle, who previously served as General Counsel and Chief of Staff at the Department of Homeland Security.

Trump's statement emphasized Mizelle's past effectiveness and loyalty: "During my First Term, Chad was General Counsel and Chief of Staff at the Department of Homeland Security, where he helped to secure our Border and stop the flow of illegal drugs and aliens into our Country," highlighted President-elect Trump.

Focus On Railroads And International Relations

David Fink, a veteran in the transportation sector with over 45 years of service, is set to lead the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Notably, Fink's deep background in railroading predicts a focus on safety and technological advancements.

"David will bring his 45+ years of transportation leadership and success, which will deliver the FRA into a new era of safety and technological innovation," expressed President-elect Trump. Furthermore, his appreciation was evident as he concluded, "Under David’s guidance, the Federal Railroad Administration will be GREAT again. Congratulations to David!"

Meanwhile, the appointment of Tilman J. Fertitta as the U.S. Ambassador to Italy was another highlight. Fertitta, a renowned entrepreneur and owner of the Houston Rockets, is widely recognized for his substantial contributions to entertainment and real estate, as well as his philanthropy.

"Tilman is an accomplished businessman, who has founded and built one of our Country’s premier entertainment and real estate companies, employing approximately 50,000 Americans," noted Trump. Additionally, emphasizing Fertitta’s role in community activities, Trump stated, "Tilman has a long history of giving back to the community through numerous philanthropic initiatives, which include children’s charities, Law Enforcement, and the medical community."
