During this debate, Biden’s hesitations and misstatements reportedly intensified doubts within his party regarding his cognitive capabilities and continued candidacy.
Shortly after Biden's strained performance, he reassured Democratic governors about his health, aiming to quell the rising apprehension about his fitness for office.
