President Donald Trump's latest directive forces federal agencies to strip DEI-related content as thousands of web pages go dark.
According to the Daily Mail, more than 8,000 web pages across multiple government agencies have been taken down following Trump's executive order to end diversity, gende,r and equality initiatives.
The sweeping changes affected major federal institutions, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Census Bureau, Food and Drug Administration, Justice Department, Internal Revenue Service, and Department of Veterans Affairs. Many pages containing information about climate initiatives and transgender care were removed by the Friday 5 p.m. deadline set in Trump's order to terminate programs promoting what he termed "gender ideology."
The Office of Personnel Management issued a two-page memo requiring all agency heads to implement measures ending diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
