According to Fox News, House Republican Rep. Buddy Carter leads the charge with the SWAMP Act, which seeks to divest the Nancy Pelosi Federal Building to offset the national debt.

The proposed legislation, titled the Stop Wasteful Allocations of Money for Pelosi (SWAMP) Act, requires the General Services Administration (GSA) to sell the building named after former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at its fair market value.
Located in San Francisco, this 18-story structure hosts a variety of U.S. government offices, including those for the Social Security Administration, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Labor, in addition to Pelosi’s own district office.

A GSA spokesperson addressed the issue, stating, "GSA is working to reduce deferred liability costs across our real estate portfolio, including potentially selling buildings that require extensive repairs. Any claim that our planning is politically motivated is absurd."
