Trump Aide Martin Recounts Terrifying Moments During Butler Shooting

 November 1, 2024

A chilling new documentary reveals previously unseen footage of the dramatic events that unfolded during the July assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.

According to the Daily Mail, Trump aide Margo Martin recounts her experience of being caught in gunfire at the campaign rally in a new docuseries by the Tucker Carlson Network, "Art of the Surge."

Martin's testimony provided a firsthand account of the chaotic moments when shots rang out. She had departed from her usual position near the stage to capture content from a different angle when she noticed a commotion near the perimeter fence.

Dramatic Escape From Rally Grounds Captured On Film

Security camera footage shows Martin at the edge of the rally grounds moments before the shooting began.

The video captures her immediate reaction as she spots the gunman and flees for safety. Martin's quick thinking leads her to take cover behind a nearby vehicle.

Martin describes her terrifying experience:

I knew pretty immediately it was a gun, all I remember is running through the open field, with bullets coming from behind me, and I had no idea where they were going.

The incident resulted in one fatality, as firefighter Corey Comperatore was struck by a stray bullet. Two other rally attendees sustained injuries during the shooting.

Trump's Defiant Response To Assassination Attempt

The former president's response to being shot became an iconic political moment. After the bullet grazed his ear, Trump stood up, raised his fist, and rallied the crowd with a powerful message of defiance.

The assassination attempt did not deter Trump from maintaining his campaign schedule. Just two days later, he made a dramatic entrance at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, sporting a bandage over his injured ear.

The incident had significant political ramifications, as Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race shortly afterward when Trump's poll numbers surged dramatically.

Campaign Momentum Builds Despite Security Threats

Despite facing a second assassination attempt at his Palm Beach golf club on September 15, Trump's campaign has shown remarkable resilience. Recent polling data indicates strong support for the Republican candidate across multiple swing states.

The documentary footage, which includes scenes of Secret Service agents protecting Trump staffers and wounded supporters fleeing the scene, provides unprecedented access to one of the most dramatic moments in recent political history.

With just five days until the election, Trump's campaign appears to be gaining momentum. Betting odds currently suggest a 64 percent probability of his victory on November 5, maintaining the same level of confidence seen after the first assassination attempt.
