Generally speaking, a candidate gets a honeymoon phase after a convention.
They would usually enjoy a week or two of heavy concentration from the media, but it would appear that Donald Trump will rob Kamala Harris of that honeymoon this time.

Harris was probably one of about a half dozen people on the planet with a lower approval rating than Joe Biden before Joe dropped out of the presidential race. All of a sudden, she has become the Democrat and the media's golden child. They gave her the nomination without giving anyone else time to enter the race.
Since her initial press conference, Harris has not talked to the media at all, save for a few minutes on the tarmac. She still does not have her agenda posted on her website. She has revealed one policy, her economic plan, which was trashed by virtually every reasonable economic expert, not in the Democrats' pocket.
During the convention, all the powers that be and celebrities came out to endorse Harris, even though she had no platform. On top of that, the pundits in the mainstream media are now suggesting that Harris stay away from policy and avoid the media… I kid you not. If there was ever a question about our media becoming a propaganda wing of the DNC, it was answered this week.
Trump knows that he has to do something big to get Kamala out of the headlines, and he just did it. Over the last few days, there has been a flurry of activity surrounding Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s campaign. At 11:00 a.m. Pacific, Kennedy was slated to give a speech about the path forward for his campaign. This comes after his VP suggested that the Kennedy and Trump campaigns join forces.
Then Trump stepped in to say that he is going to have a special guest at his Arizona rally this afternoon, which will start at 4:00 p.m. local time. The campaign stated:
"President Trump will be joined by a special guest as he delivers remarks about his America First policies and his vision to lower inflation and the cost of living, secure the border, and make our cities safe again."
This came after Trump surrogate Vivek Ramaswamy was touting Kennedy as a possible Trump administration member. He stated:
"Look, I think let's let what's going to happen play out without stepping on any announcements that he's going to make.
"But I think RFK Jr. has been thoughtful on a number of issues, particularly on COVID policies. So the failed COVID policies is something that he has been particularly incisive about and insightful about, and so a lot of that requires rectifying those wrongs."
If the announcement is what is being projected, this is going to be a huge boost for the Trump campaign and it will surely knock Harris off the front page.
This will also force the Harris campaign to react, and from what I have seen thus far, that reaction is going to be panic. The few comments that have been made have alleged that MAGA backed Kennedy to hurt Biden, and now that Biden is out and Kennedy is hurting Trump more than Harris, this was bound to happen.
This falls right in line with the strategy the Dems appear ready to use during the election, which is to blame everything on Donald Trump. Obama and the rest of the party's mouthpieces talked about Kamala being about change and fixing things; only Dems have been in office for nearly the last four years and have had the keys to the country for 12 out of the last 16 years. I think someone needs to remind them of that before they continue down this path of blaming the bad orange man for all the nation's problems right now.
