The REAL Reasons Joe Biden Quit the Presidential Race

 July 22, 2024

Democrats are now trying to make Joe Biden out to be some type of hero for having withdrawn from the presidential race.

Make no mistake about it… Biden faced immense pressure from the party elites, and I think I know why.

Talking Points…
- Biden getting crushed in battleground states
- Losing momentum in down-ballot races
- Analysis

Bad News in the Battleground States

In order for Biden to win the presidential election, he had to win the Blue Wall. The Blue Wall is a nickname given to the "usual" blue states that have voted for Democrats for decades, but some of them are still considered to be battleground states. The states we generally look at as being key for Democrats in the Blue Wall are Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

In those states, Donald Trump was leading Joe Biden in the national average by 2.4 points in Michigan, 4.4 points in Pennsylvania, and 2.3 points in Wisconsin. However, in one recent poll by EPIC-MRA and the Detroit Free Press, Trump has stretched that lead to seven points, which was a complete and utter disaster for Biden. With those numbers, there is no way that Biden had a path to 270 electoral votes.

Nationally, prior to the debate, Joe Biden was leading Trump by 0.2%, but Trump is now ahead by 3.2%, which is a huge move in just a few weeks. The Democrat Party was well aware of these numbers, which is why they started to pressure Joe Biden to leave the race. Keep in mind, over the last month or so, if my math is right, the Biden campaign spent roughly $150 million trying to get Joe’s poll numbers up, but all he did was fall, so they knew if he stayed in the race, it would be a route for Trump.

Losing Momentum in Down-Ballot Races

The second reason Biden was pressured to drop out of the race was that he would really hurt Democrats in the down-ballot races. We all know general election turnout is significantly higher than mid-term races, and that is because more people want to vote for a president. But since they are there, they also vote in the down-ballot races, or at least most of them do.

The problem with Biden being on the ticket is that many voters were getting discouraged, and the Democrat Party was worried that voter turnout would lead to a route by the GOP in the House and flip the Senate, which would be a disaster for the Democrat Party. So, this move to oust Biden and install Harris as the candidate is also about protecting congressional seats.

I don’t see the Democrats holding the Senate regardless, but the House is definitely in play. For most of this term, the House has been in chaos, although Speaker Johnson (R-LA) has seemingly gotten things settled down with the assassination attempt against Trump and the chaos in the Democrat Party.

Fox News Chad Pergram recently penned an opinion piece citing the House as one of the main reasons that Joe Biden was being pressured to leave, and I think he hit the nail on the head here. Even if Harris loses the race, she will clearly have more enthusiasm in the party, especially among minority voters, where Biden was getting clocked. And if she adds Shapiro to the ticket, she would likely flip PA to the Democrat side and possibly even Michigan. Dems need to be able to block Republicans from total control, so this was yet another reason that Biden was pushed out.

Analysis

The money is already starting to flow into the Harris campaign. It was reported that since Biden dropped out, she has already raised about $50 million in donations, and there is going to be a lot more where that came from. Nearly $100 million in promised donations sat on the sidelines until Biden dropped out so that money would soon be in the accounts of the PACs supporting the Democratic Party. This completely changes the election picture, especially if Harris picks Shapiro as her running mate. He is really the key to this whole thing, but he may decide he likes where he is and not want to risk being on a losing ticket with Harris, so we just have to wait to see how this plays out at the Democrat convention.

I did, however, want to touch on one more point. Democrats regularly say that the GOP is a threat to democracy, yet they have just taken the vote out of the hands of the American people. They all sold Biden to voters as the guy, but they knew Biden was a hot mess. They ran a test campaign to see the numbers, then they saw the best possible combination to beat Trump and Republicans in November, and now they are trying to put that ticket together.

This is just another way to rig an election, and quite honestly, if Biden is not capable of running for re-election, he should be forced to resign. What they are doing violates the spirit of our elections, but the real issue here is circumventing the Constitution and the American voter by allowing electors to pick a candidate after the American people had chosen their candidate. That is not how our elections work, and I hope the GOP hits this angle as hard as possible, especially during the debates that are likely to be scheduled after a candidate is chosen. Dems scammed liberal voters, selling a faulty product so they could measure everything and put in their preferred candidates. We cannot let them get away with this, and I cannot believe the media is not calling them out on this front.
