College campuses today are loaded with protesters supporting Palestine, especially at Ivy League schools.
Hillary Clinton, the darling of the Democrat Party, got a little taste of that during a recent class that she was teaching at Columbia University.
A group of students at Columbia University signed a letter to demand that Columbia cut its ties with “apartheid Israel” and Tel Aviv University.
The letter blamed the war with Hamas on Israel, stating:
“The weight of responsibility for the war and casualties undeniably lies with the Israeli extremist government and other Western governments, including the US government, which fund and staunchly support Israeli aggression, apartheid and settler-colonization.”
Afterward, photos of those students were shown on “doxxing trucks” parked at Columbia.
The header on the truck stated, “Columbia’s Leading Antisemites.” The doxxing project was totally funded by Accuracy in Media, according to its president, Adam Guilette.
Hillary Clinton has been teaching at Columbia. Landing Hillary was considered a coup for the university, but I am sure she regrets taking that position now.
Hillary’s class is a two-hour lecture, but not on this day because the students packed up their bags and walked out about halfway through the lecture.
Clinton was clearly stunned, and according to reports, she left through a side door and did not say a word. In fact, she has not commented to the media about the walkout since it happened.
A friend of mine and I recently had a conversation about the state of today’s college students.
My friend said something I will never forget… “They are ignorant people who are smart enough to be dangerous.”
By ignorance, he was speaking to the fact that most people today do not actually research anything before spouting off at the mouth. They read headlines, make assumptions, and they are ready for their argument.
That, I believe, is what is happening in this case. I mean, let’s face it: to these kids, swimming upstream is sexy, which means supporting Palestine and Hamas over Israel is cool in their eyes. Sadly, we have members of Congress doing the same thing.
When you have people calling the initial Hamas attack against Israel a military action, they clearly have no idea about which they are speaking.
I would ask them all to look at the photos published by Israel, to listen to the numerous confessions of Hamas fighters that were captured by Israel, and then tell me this was a military action.
Do I support doxxing? No, and I have written many times about how harmful doxxing people can be when it is done to conservative donors, so I would be a hypocrite if I said this was something good.
However, I will say that more so than the doxxing, the more significant problem is this growing contingent among this younger generation that is scrapping the ideals of this nation and its foundation.
Everything our Framers and Founders fought for and shed blood for is being tossed aside for not only socialism but also extremism and sympathy for terrorists. As bad as things have been in this country over the last few years, I doubt anyone thought we would see this and see it so openly.
September 11, 2001… how soon people forget.
