Shocking Revelations About Pre-Assassination Texts Involving Former President Trump

 July 29, 2024

Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old man, initiated gunfire during the event in Butler, Pennsylvania, resulting in one death and several injuries, including a minor one to Trump himself.

Text communications among Beaver County Emergency Services Unit officers revealed they were aware of Crooks as a potential threat nearly 90 minutes before he opened fire.

Fox News reported that law enforcement officers exchanged urgent texts concerning Crooks’ suspicious activity. One officer messaged about Crooks using a range finder to possibly scout for a clear shot.

Despite these warnings, Crooks was not immediately confronted, allowing him to position himself atop the American Glass International building from where he began shooting.

Details Emerge About the Fatal Impact on Rally Attendees

The attack tragically claimed the life of 50-year-old Corey Comperatore, who died while shielding his family. Other victims included James Copenhaver and David Dutch, both of whom sustained injuries but were later released from the hospital.

Former President Trump sustained a light injury with a bullet grazing his ear. The attempt has raised serious questions about security protocols and the coordination between different law enforcement agencies at such high-profile events.

Investigation and Response to Security Breach

This gap in the security net has drawn critical scrutiny from the public and officials alike. The availability of these texts highlights a breakdown in protocol, which could have prevented the violent act before it escalated to tragedy.

One of the officers texted:

Kid leaning around the building we are in. I did see him with a range finder looking towards the stage. FYI. If you wanna notify SS snipers to look out. I lost sight of him.

Police tactics during the rally included stationed snipers and uniformed police patrols. Despite these precautions, the subsequent texts indicated a failure to effectively neutralize the threat posed by Crooks. An officer suggested, "Call it in to command and have a uniform check it out," yet the response was too slow to prevent the ensuing violence.

Fox News reported on the often-overlooked detail that local snipers had sighted the gunman earlier than previously disclosed to the public. This has led to an increased demand for accountability and an overhaul of security measures during similar future events.

Former President Acknowledges the Heroism at RNC

Despite the grim circumstances, the rally witnessed acts of bravery and selflessness. Former President Trump, during a speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on July 18, 2024, acknowledged a fallen firefighter, exemplifying the valor seen during these harrowing moments.

The community and the nation have rallied around the victims and their families following the event. The two injured men, James Copenhaver and David Dutch have successfully recovered, with Dutch being discharged on July 24 and Copenhaver on July 26.

The questions surrounding the coordination of law enforcement and the effectiveness of their response to imminent threats are now at the forefront of a national dialogue about security at political events. This incident highlights the delicate balance of ensuring public safety without impeding the democratic process. As this case continues to unravel, the lessons learned here will likely influence security protocols at all levels of government.
