Scandal Hits White House Over Jill Biden’s ‘Work Husband’

 March 14, 2024

This week, reports have been blowing up in conservative outlets over a toxic work environment inside Biden's White House.

The subject of the reports has been Anthony Bernal, a top aide for Jill Biden, whom she calls her "work husband."

Talking Points…
- Complaints against Bernal
- White House response
- Analysis

Complaints Levied Against Biden Aide Anthony Bernal

Over the last few days, reports have been saturating the internet and the questionable work behavior of Anthony Bernal. Bernal is a top aide for Jill Biden, who is also openly gay and deemed "untouchable" because Jill Biden views him as her "work husband."

One account had Bernal speculating on the size of male staffers manhood, a tactic he reportedly used to make them uncomfortable, giving him the upper hand in the conversation. This was not a one-time instance, either, as several accounts stated that this was a regular tactic he used to gain an edge. One person stated:

"It is to make people uncomfortable and to have power over them. It is Me Too – classic Me Too."

Another stated:

"It was a lot of inappropriate remarks — talking about other people's attractiveness and speculating about their sex lives at very weird moments. That's actually sexual harassment."

A former top aide for Biden added:

"If the White House Counsel is investigating the behavior of a junior staffer in the scheduling and advance office, does that mean they're investigating Anthony Bernal, an assistant to the president, too?

"A dozen sources seem like enough to trigger that type of internal investigation."

White House Responds

After the allegations were made and the initial report appeared in the New York Post, the White House avoided the subject, expressing its full support for Bernal. Joe Biden's Chief of Staff, Jeff Zients, responded to the report, stating:

"His many fans at the White House know him to be both gracious and tough, holding himself up to the highest standards, with a heart dedicated to public service.

"It is disappointing that he is the target of unfounded attacks from unnamed sources."

Analysis

The problem for the White House is that they are making that statement, which came from the president's Chief of Staff, without an actual investigation. We all know that had this report been about a Republican staffer, Democrats would be calling for resignations and an FBI investigation into the matter, but they are instead just brushing it off as business as usual, which this apparently is for Bernal.

One source stated, "He is by far the worst and most well-known abuser, but the Biden White House is a magnet for ugly and abusive workplace behavior. It's totally inexcusable [in] this day [and] age, especially with Biden's own narrative about standing up to bullies." But, since he is close to Jill, who referred to him in her book, "Where the Light Enters," stating, "He knows how much I love and respect him." So, with Jill holding this man so dear to her heart, do you really think anyone is going to risk crossing the Bidens to make a formal complaint? Of course not.

By the way, if you do a quick search for this story online, you will notice that it is only Fox News and conservative media documenting this report, as virtually every mainstream media outlet has ignored the story and refused to report on it. That worked out really well for them with the Hunter Biden laptop story, so let's see how they fair by refusing to report this alleged harassment case.
