Roseanne Barr and Rob Reiner Face Off in Twitter Battle

 September 6, 2023

Rob Reiner despises Donald Trump, and Roseanne Barr has long been a Trump supporter.

Reiner posted on Twitter after some new polling numbers came out, and Barr was quick to respond, never one to shy away from a Twitter battle.

The subject, of course, was Donald Trump.

Talking Points…

  • What are they fighting about
  • What Rob Reiner said
  • What Roseanne said
  • My Two Cents…

What Are They Fighting About?

Barr and Reiner got into it after some polls came out regarding what voters would do if Donald Trump were convicted of a felony.

To my surprise, as well as Reiner's, most Republican voters said they would still vote for Trump, even if he were being put in prison.

What Rob Reiner Said

Reiner went off after the numbers came out, posting:

"Let this sink in. Republicans say that even if Trump is a Convicted Felon who attempted to destroy American Democracy, they will still vote for him."

"We will only survive if he, and the corrupt party he leads, is decisively defeated in 2024."

What Roseanne Said

Roseanne, who has long been a Trump supporter, fired right back.

She responded:

"What a crazy idea, you mean beat him in a fair and general election that would require good ideas and debate (and not so obvious corruption)???"

Roseanne followed that up with…

"Lol. Good luck Dems. We know why you're cheating and lying and indicting and false flagging. It's your only hope. But keep telling us we are the threat to democracy."

My Two Cents…

I have stated many times, that this is something that we really have to consider before heading to the polls on election day.

This is not about Trump's base or the members of Congress who support Trump, support that would not waiver even if he was sitting in an electric chair on election day.

This is about getting moderate and independent voters to vote for the GOP in the upcoming election, and that is what we need to consider by making Trump the nominee.

As I have stated many times, I am not here to tell anyone who they should vote for in this primary, but it is my job to offer some analysis of what election day will look like if Trump wins the nomination, and is then found guilty and sent to prison.

When you look at the judges in these cases, as well as the possible jury pools, this is a very real possibility, and if it happens, you are going to see a lot of people who refuse to vote for either candidate sit out the election.

Joe Biden does not need all of the Democrat voters to show up, but Trump does need all the GOP voters to show up, and if he is in jail, I don't see that happening.

If the trials were before the election, this would not even be a conversation because we would have the outcome, but Biden's DOJ played this perfectly, stacking up the cases during the primary so the majority of verdicts and sentences, if Trump is found guilty, will come out after the primary has been settled.

If that happens, the election, from our standpoint, gets turned on its ear, and our chances of winning are significantly decreased.
