Ronna McDaniel Dropped by NBC News After Staff Outrage

 March 27, 2024

The Ronna McDaniel experiment did not last very long at NBC News.

After less than a week, McDaniel was dropped from the roster due to massive outrage among other staff members who worked for the outlet.

Talking Points…
- Outrage over McDaniel's hiring
- NBC News caves to pressure

Outrage Over Ronna McDaniel's Hiring

There was no honeymoon for former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel after she joined NBC News. During one of her first discussions on the network, she and Kristen Welker went toe-to-toe regarding the 2020 presidential election. Here is just a small part of that back and forth between the two…

Reports immediately started to surface after McDaniel's first day that other personalities were upset about her being hired by the network. Nicolle Wallace was another personality who came forward to protest the hiring, stating:

"NBC News is, either wittingly or unwittingly, teaching election deniers that what they can do stretches well beyond appearing on our air and interviews to peddle lies about the sanctity and integrity of our elections."

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who lied to the American people on an almost daily basis, was also upset over the hiring, stating:

"Our democracy is in danger because of the lies that people like Ronna McDaniel have pushed on this country."

The attacks did not stop there, as other major personalities, such as Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow, also complained on air over the hiring of McDaniel.

Ronna McDaniel Fired

The complaints continued to stack up for McDaniel, as virtually every news personality on the network started to openly voice outrage while on the air. So, rather than stand by their hiring, NBC News caved and wound up severing the relationship with McDaniel.

On Tuesday, NBC News announced that it was removing McDaniel as a contributor for the network. NBCUniversal News Group Chairman Cesar Conde announced:

"There is no doubt that the last several days have been difficult for the News Group.

"After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor."

Conde then offered up an apology to the staff of the network to "team members who felt we let them down."

Analysis

This is dangerous, to say the least. The fact that the employees of the network were able to have a conservative voice removed from the roster is very troubling to me. Now, as you guys all know, I was never a fan of McDaniel, but my job here is to break this down and analyze the issue, and the precedent being set here is utterly ridiculous. NBC News has more or less stated that any voice staffers do not like, which basically means any conservative voice will not be added to the network.

I always talk about state-run media and how the major networks are turning in that direction. Well, when you have staffers from Democrat administrations and former DNC officials among your talent, and a former RNC staffer comes aboard and is removed over the objections of staff, you are not a balanced outlet. They literally removed a voice that would push back on the liberal narratives being pitched during shows… and that, my friends, is state-run media.
