RFK Jr. Denies 2028 Presidential Run, Pledges Support to Trump

 August 16, 2025, NEWS

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. just dropped a bombshell by squashing rumors of a 2028 presidential bid with a fierce declaration of loyalty to President Donald Trump.

According to Newsmax, in a fiery post on X, Kennedy tackled the whispers of a future White House run head-on, dismissing them as pure fiction while doubling down on his commitment to Trump's vision.

Speculation began earlier this week when political activist Laura Loomer, speaking on Politico's "Playbook" podcast, floated the idea that Kennedy might consider a presidential campaign in the future.

Kennedy Slams Rumors as Divisive Tactics

Loomer pointed fingers at Kennedy's longtime aide, Stefanie Spear, claiming her recent involvement in a grassroots call with MAHA Action—a group tied to Kennedy's health policy advocacy—hinted at campaign groundwork.

"I think that there's a clear intention by Stefanie Spear to utilize her position to try and lay the groundwork for a 2028 RFK presidential run," Loomer asserted. Well, that’s a bold leap, considering Spear’s role as principal deputy chief of staff focuses on advancing Trump's health agenda, not plotting future elections.

Kennedy, age 71, didn’t mince words in his response on X, calling out what he sees as a desperate attempt by D.C. insiders to sow discord. "The swamp is in full panic mode," he declared, painting the rumors as a calculated move to derail the administration’s goals.

Loyalty to Trump Takes Center Stage

He went on to blast the notion of a 2028 run as a "flat-out lie," making it crystal clear where he stands. "I am not running for president in 2028," Kennedy stated with no room for misinterpretation.

"My loyalty is to President Trump and the mission we've started," he added in a separate post. If that’s not a mic-drop moment, what is? It’s a reminder that in today’s political jungle, allegiance is a currency not easily spent.

Kennedy also took a swing at critics targeting Spear, describing her as a dedicated warrior for the Make America Healthy Again initiative. He argued that attacks on his staff only prove they’re hitting the right nerves in a system desperate to cling to power.

Background of Kennedy's Political Journey

Let’s rewind a bit—Kennedy initially threw his hat in the ring for president as a Democrat before pivoting to run as an independent. That journey shows a man unafraid to chart his path, yet now firmly aligned with Trump’s coalition.

Spear, who’s been by Kennedy’s side for years, shares a similar arc, having focused on environmental activism as a Democrat before joining this administration. Her past work with Kennedy at Children’s Health Defense, an anti-vaccine nonprofit, underscores their shared commitment to health policy reform.

Recently, Spear joined a grassroots call with MAHA Action, a nonprofit promoting Kennedy’s health priorities and led by his book publisher, who previously supported his presidential bid through a super PAC. That connection sparked Loomer’s theory, but correlation isn’t causation, and it’s a stretch to call this evidence of future ambitions.

Trump's Vision as Kennedy's Priority

Kennedy’s praise for Trump was nothing short of glowing, crediting the president with exceeding every expectation on issues like free speech, industry revival, and transparency in science. He framed his role in the administration as a divine answer to a decades-long mission to combat chronic disease—a cause close to his heart.

While the progressive crowd might scoff at such rhetoric, there’s no denying the passion behind Kennedy’s words or the appeal of a healthier, stronger America to millions fed up with bureaucratic overreach. The question isn’t whether Kennedy’s sincere—it’s whether the so-called "swamp" will keep spinning tales to fracture this partnership. Let’s hope the focus stays on policy, not petty gossip.
