Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs faces disturbing allegations about his party recruitment practices during his career peak.
According to the New York Post, the rapper allegedly employed men to scout his parties and recruit young women for intimate encounters, with some women being told it was "an honor" to be propositioned.
The allegations stem from multiple sources, including a woman identified only as Lisa, who attended Diddy's 2004 White Party in the Hamptons. The event, which featured prominent celebrities like Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, and Paris Hilton, was ostensibly organized to promote voter mobilization in partnership with Sony.
Lisa, who attended the party with her Sony-employed husband, described being approached by one of Diddy's recruiters. The man allegedly indicated that Diddy had noticed her and wanted to spend time with her after the event. When Lisa mentioned her husband's presence, the recruiter quickly withdrew the invitation.
The recruitment tactics reportedly involved a team of men systematically approaching attractive young women throughout the party. These men would extend invitations for private gatherings with Diddy after the main events concluded.
A friend of Lisa's who accepted the invitation reportedly later expressed regret about her decision to attend the private gathering at Diddy's mansion, though she remained largely silent about the specifics of what transpired.
The revelations align with accusations from former employee Phillip Pines, who worked for Diddy between 2019 and 2021. Pines filed a lawsuit detailing his involvement in organizing what Diddy allegedly called "Wild King Nights."
According to Pines' lawsuit, these events often evolved into prolonged orgies requiring specific preparations. His duties reportedly included setting up rooms with red lights, procuring various supplies, including illegal drugs, and handling post-event cleanup of compromising evidence.
Combs currently awaits trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, having been denied bail three times since his September arrest on racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
His legal representatives maintain his innocence, as Lisa stated by Combs' team to TMZ:
No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won't change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor.
Looking back at her experience, Lisa expressed relief at having declined the invitation. Her encounter offers a glimpse into what prosecutors now suggest was a systematic operation spanning many years.
The allegations against Diddy paint a disturbing picture of how celebrity events were allegedly used as covers for recruiting participants in private gatherings. These accusations span from the early 2000s through recent years.
Current criminal proceedings could determine the future of the music mogul facing serious charges. The trial, scheduled for May, will address allegations of racketeering and sex trafficking that have emerged from multiple accusers.
