REPORT: Hunter Biden Attorney at White House Before Defying Subpoena

 April 8, 2024

It would appear that the White House and Biden’s Department of Justice may have been doing something illegal just prior to Hunter Biden’s defiant press conference on the steps of the Capitol.

Multiple outlets are now reporting that Hunter Biden’s attorney had a meeting at the White House the day prior to Hunter defying the congressional subpoena that has been issued.

Hunter Attorney Visits White House

On December 13, 2023, Hunter Biden had been subpoenaed to appear before the House Oversight Committee. Hunter decided to ignore the subpoena and held a press conference on the Senate steps of the Capitol. We found out after the fact that some Democrats in office had arranged for Hunter to speak at the Capitol, specifically on the Senate side, due to the fact the House Sergeant-at-Arms could have technically taken Hutner into custody.

During the press conference, Hunter demanded a public hearing (which he later got and decided not to attend), and stated:

“Let me state as clearly as I can: My father was not financially involved in my business, not as a practicing lawyer, not as a board member of Burisma. Not in my partnership with a Chinese private businessman. Not my investments at home nor abroad and certainly not as an artist.”

It is now being reported that on December 11, 2023, attorney Abbe Lowell met with Jill Biden’s top staffer, Anthony Bernal. Bernal has recently been in the news for acting inappropriately with White House staffers, being referred to as Jill Biden’s work husband. Lowell also reportedly attended a Hanukkah reception where Joe Biden was present.

Chairman James Comer (R-KY) Responds to Reports

When the White House was asked if Joe Biden knew that Hunter was going to defy the subpoena, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that the president was “familiar” with Hunter’s plans. So, she admitted that Biden knew Hunter had planned to defy the subpoena and break the law that day.

There has long been a discussion about Hunter Biden receiving legal advice from the Department of Justice so that he would know how far he could push this. These reports of Lowell meeting with Bernal before December 13 will only pour gasoline on that particular fire. In fact, Chairman Comey is already demanding the White House offer more transparency on this matter. Comer stated:

“We’ve called on the White House to provide information about whether President Biden sought to influence or obstruct our investigation by preventing, discouraging, or dissuading his son from complying with the subpoenas for a deposition as part of the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry, but the White House has refused to provide any information.

“The White House must provide the public with information about the contents of this meeting in order to provide transparency to the American people.”

Whenever the White House has been asked about the role that Joe Biden is playing in his son Hunter’s defense, it gives the same canned answer to the media. For instance, in January, Jean-Pierre responded to that question, stating:

“He’s a private citizen. He’s not a member of the White House. He doesn’t work here.”

Analysis

Even the most loyal Democrat would have to admit that something does not smell right about the meeting between Lowell and Bernal. I have long believed that Hunter was only poking the bear as much as he thought he could get away with, knowing when he would force Merrick Garland’s hand. He obviously did not fear a referral, at least initially. If we do eventually find out that Hunter’s legal team was plotting his approach to this defense with the aid of the DOJ or legal counsel in the White House, Joe Biden is going to have a monster legal problem on his hands, not to mention a very real threat of impeachment.
