Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper could be next up for House Republicans to refer criminal charges to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Clapper appears to have exposed himself to perjury during a previous deposition.

Going back to 2017, after Trump had taken office, the new president had alleged that the intelligence community, more specifically James Clapper, had leaked details of the Steele dossier to the media. Trump, at the time, stated:
“Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to ‘leak’ into the public. One last shot at me. Are we living in Nazi Germany?”
Clapper immediately contacted Trump to denounce the report, and Rep. Adam Schiff (R-CA) did the media circuit to say that Trump was off the rails and what he was saying could not be trusted. Little did we know, this was the beginning of Trump being right and Schiff echoing a series of lies about the Russian collusion narrative.
During a 2017 deposition, Clapper had initially stated that he had never leaked the information to the media. Eventually, however, Clapper admitted that he discussed the dossier with CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Tapper published what wound up becoming an award-winning piece on the dossier on January 10, 2017, but only now has that story been virtually debunked. So, once again, we have journalists winning awards for what amounted to a fake news story. At the time, Clapper tried to cover himself by blasting the story, stating:
“I expressed my profound dismay at the leaks that have been appearing in the press, and we both agreed that they are extremely corrosive and damaging to our national security.”
You should also keep in mind that Clapper was one of the 51 former intelligence officers who signed the letter claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop story appeared to be Russian disinformation. Clapper has clearly aligned himself with the left.
Clapper is a dangerous man who has made a nasty habit of lying to Americans. I don’t really trust anyone in the intelligence community anyway, but if you have seen Clapper’s analysis on CNN anytime in the recent past, you know he always slants his analysis to benefit the left, in particular, Joe Biden. My opinion… the man is a criminal, and I would love to see investigators do a deep dive on him because I have a feeling his closet door is about to burst open with the number of skeletons he is trying to hide.
