President Joe Biden Backs Hunter Biden’s Legal Counter Against GOP Probes

 October 10, 2024

President Joe Biden endorsed the assertive legal strategies employed by Hunter Biden’s lawyer to combat Republican inquiries into his family's business affairs.

Hunter's attorney, Abbe Lowell, was directed to confront allegations regarding the Biden family's foreign business links, the New York Post reported.

President Biden's endorsement came during a December 2022 discussion with his son. This approval was pivotal, given House Republicans' escalating investigations into potential conflicts of interest involving Joe Biden's son and brother's business undertakings abroad.

Aggressive Legal Movements Initiated by Lowell

In the heat of these legal contests, Abbe Lowell, who joined the Biden defense team in December 2022, took significant steps to challenge those distributing files from Hunter Biden's forsaken laptop. The laptop files insinuated connections between Joe Biden and enterprises in China and Ukraine. However, the authenticity of the laptop was debated, previously dismissed by Joe Biden in 2020 as Russian disinformation.

By February 2023, Lowell had actively pushed for criminal investigations into those disseminating the laptop files, writing to the U.S. Justice Department and the Delaware Attorney General. He further aimed to contest the nonprofit status of a group that published these files online, illustrating his proactive approach endorsed by President Biden.

Three months after receiving Joe Biden’s backing, Lowell initiated a lawsuit against the computer repairman who shared the laptop files, accusing him of privacy invasion. This legal stance underscored the strategy’s vigorous nature, supported fully by the president, evidenced by his conversation with Lowell. “Let me talk to Abbe,” expressed President Biden, signaling his direct involvement in the legal strategies.

During a reported conversation, President Biden’s approval of Lowell’s tactics was explicit.

I love what you are doing. Keep doing it. Keep doing it.

This supportive stance from the President raises intriguing questions concerning the involvement he portrays publicly versus privately.

Escalation to Impeachment Inquiry

Following Lowell's aggressive legal push, House Republicans gathered further evidence, which ultimately led to the approval of an impeachment inquiry based on unearthed ties between Joe Biden and foreign business partners. Additionally, in April 2023, authorities revitalized the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden, which had been in abeyance.

As a result of facing heightened legal scrutiny, Hunter Biden broke off a plea deal in June 2023, only to receive a conviction for gun charges a year later. By September 2024, he pleaded guilty to tax fraud, with sentencing approaching.

Throughout these controversies, President Biden maintained that he never discussed business with his son or brother. However, this assertion stands in contradiction to emerging evidence suggesting otherwise. Furthermore, Hunter Biden financed his legal defenses via loans from attorney Kevin Morris, beginning in late 2019, indicating long-standing legal entanglements.

Anticipation for Bob Woodward’s Revealing Book

Bob Woodward will soon explore the broader implications of these events in his upcoming book, titled “War,” which is slated for release in October 2024. This book promises deep insights into the intertwined legal and political dramas surrounding the Biden family.

In conclusion, the legal strategies underpinning the Biden family’s defense against political and legal scrutiny unfold as a complex narrative of endorsements, legal battles, and family loyalty. The unfolding events highlight a significant presidential endorsement of combative legal maneuvers amidst scrutiny over familial foreign business involvements.
