New CIA findings reveal Trump was targeted by intelligence officials

The CIA has uncovered a deliberate effort by top intelligence officials to undermine President Donald Trump during his first term with baseless claims of Russian collusion.

According to Fox News, a newly declassified CIA review details how figures like former CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper manipulated evidence, notably the discredited Steele dossier, to paint Trump as a Russian asset. Their actions, fueled by a document secretly bankrolled by Hillary Clinton’s campaign, set the stage for a multi-year witch hunt.

The dossier, dismissed as garbage by the FBI even before Trump’s inauguration, was still wielded as a weapon by these officials to justify investigations and leak damaging narratives to a complicit media. It’s a stark reminder of how far some will go to protect a progressive agenda, even at the expense of truth and democratic trust.

Unmasking a Calculated Setup Against Trump

The CIA review highlights how Brennan insisted on including the debunked dossier in the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), a report rushed to completion just before Trump’s inauguration under President Barack Obama’s orders. Senior CIA Russia experts objected, warning it would taint the report’s credibility, but they were sidelined.

Brennan, undeterred, handpicked analysts to craft the ICA, excluding 13 other intelligence agencies to suppress dissent. This wasn’t oversight; it was a calculated move to frame a narrative that suited a preconceived bias against Trump.

Current CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who released the review, didn’t mince words on social media, stating, “All the world can now see the truth: Brennan, Clapper and Comey manipulated intelligence and silenced career professionals — all to get Trump.” That’s a damning indictment of unelected bureaucrats playing political gods, and it begs the question: who watches the watchmen?

A Clever Ruse to Deceive the Public

Ratcliffe also told the New York Post, “This was Obama, Comey, Clapper and Brennan deciding ‘We’re going to screw Trump.’” Such a blunt assessment from a sitting intelligence head underscores the depth of this scandal, though one wonders if accountability will ever match the audacity of the scheme.

The trio knew the dossier was junk, yet they propped it up in the ICA to create an illusion of mutual corroboration, leaking both to amplify the lie. It’s a masterclass in deception, one that hobbled Trump’s presidency with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s fruitless two-year probe.

When Mueller’s report finally concluded there was no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, Brennan sheepishly admitted, “I don’t know if I received bad information, but I think I suspected there was more than there actually was.” That’s a convenient backpedal for someone who once accused Trump of treason, revealing more about personal vendettas than national security.

Media Complicity and Lingering Lies

Even after the truth surfaced, media outlets like MSNBC and CNN gave Brennan and Clapper platforms to perpetuate their anti-Trump rhetoric, hiring them as commentators. It’s telling that networks embraced these figures despite evidence of their role in leaking and spinning the dossier narrative.

Clapper, for instance, was found by a House Intelligence Committee report to have leaked dossier details to CNN before Trump took office, yet faced no repercussions. This cozy relationship between discredited officials and certain media outlets exposes a troubling bias that prioritizes narrative over facts.

Comey, too, played his part, using the dossier to secure warrants and brief Trump in a way that ensured leaks to the press, all while knowing its dubious origins. His later congressional admission that he might have acted differently with full knowledge rings hollow when his actions consistently undermined a duly elected president.

Justice Must Prevail to Prevent Future Abuses

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has promised a deep dive into this mess, telling Fox News, “We are digging deep to find everything that has been related to this, and I guarantee you there are some U.S. attorneys who are eager to see what we are finding.” Her resolve offers hope that those who weaponized intelligence for political gain might finally face consequences.

Without accountability, this kind of lawlessness will resurface, eroding faith in our institutions further. The American people deserve better than to be pawns in a game of power played by unelected elites with clear partisan motives.

This CIA review isn’t just a historical correction; it’s a call to action to safeguard our democracy from those who would subvert it under the guise of protecting it. If justice isn’t served, the precedent set by Brennan, Comey, and Clapper will haunt future administrations, proving that in Washington, power often trumps principle.
