Over the last few weeks, the very popular narrative being pitched by pundits is that Michelle Obama will eventually step in for Joe Biden and run for president on the Democrat ticket in 2024.
Megyn Kelly has not quite joined those ranks, but she seems to be thinking that it could happen, and if it does, it would be a game changer in terms of the election outcome.

There are a lot, and I mean a LOT of conservative pundits, that are pushing the idea that Michelle Obama will wind up being the candidate on the Democrat ticket in 2024. Among those is Glenn Beck, who has already predicted she will come in late with Joe Biden being removed by the Democrat Party. There are also rumors that Kamala Harris will be offered the next Supreme Court seat as a way to get her out of the picture.
Michelle Obama added fuel to this already out-of-control fire this weekend. Obama was a guest on Jay Shetty's "On Purpose" podcast, stating that the outcome of the 2024 election keeps her up at night, and she is terrified of what would happen if Joe Biden loses to Donald Trump.
Kelly pointed to that very appearance as a concern that Michelle Obama could be considering a run for office, stating:
"She has nothing to promote. She has no book, she has no event, so that means she called them and said, 'I have something to say.'"
Kelly then stated the obvious:
"There's no question she's more talented than Joe Biden is politically. No question."
If this scenario did pan out, it would be, just as Kelly stated on her show, "a whole new ballgame" in terms of the GOP having a shot at winning this election. Whether people want to admit it or not, Michelle Obama would be a far more formidable opponent than Joe Biden.
The question, however, is if she wants to give up her ritzy lifestyle for four or eight years in the White House, which she has openly stated that she hates. The Obamas are living the dream life right now, cashing in on the presidency in a way that we have never seen before, and I just doubt she wants to give all that up, especially now that they are empty nesters and can truly enjoy all that newfound money.
However, Kelly made a great observation that I had not considered to this point. To that point, the DNC convention is being held in Chicago this year, Obama's old stomping grounds, so it would make a perfect setup for Michelle to swoop in to save the party.
I still hold firm that I think Joe Biden is the horse that Democrats are going to have to ride into the 2024 election. However, I do have to concede that Kelly buckled my knees a little bit, which has me more than just a bit concerned that the Dems may have one dirty trick up their sleeves to deal with Trump if he winds up beating all these legal cases.
