Democrats had their chance to get rid of Joe Biden, but instead, they chose to stick by him and encourage him to run for re-election against Donald Trump.
After the disastrous debate, now many Dems want him to step down, but Lara Trump is warning them that if they do, the RNC is going to crush them.

For months, the mainstream media has been covering for Joe Biden, even pushing the "cheap fake" narrative to say that Biden's gaffes were being taken out of context. On Thursday night, however, the American people saw the same thing on live TV, and now Democrats are freaking out, as if they were shocked and they had no idea Joe Biden was this bad.
Now, numerous major publications, as well as some Democrats and liberals, want Biden to step aside in the election to allow someone else to run. The New York Times issued a scathing editorial on Friday, writing:
"At Thursday's debate, the president needed to convince the American public that he was equal to the formidable demands of the office he is seeking to hold for another term.
"Voters, however, cannot be expected to ignore what was instead plain to see: Mr. Biden is not the man he was four years ago."
David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, also requested that Biden step aside, writing:
"To refuse to do so, to go on contending that his good days are more plentiful than the bad, to ignore the inevitability of time and aging, doesn't merely risk his legacy — it risks the election and, most important, puts in peril the very issues and principles that Biden has framed as central to his Presidency and essential to the future."
The Economist, the Chicago Tribune, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution also published editorials for Biden to step aside. The Philadelphia Inquirer took a different approach, demanding that Donald Trump step aside, which is a complete and utter joke.
There is a lot of talk about replacing Joe Biden on the ticket. Our media is only making this worse, making it seem as though Democrats can pull Biden off the ticket and replace him, and that is not the case. The only way to forcibly remove Biden from the ticket would be to invoke the 25th Amendment. If they do that, Harris would elevate and run as the incumbent. Lara Trump commented on this, stating:
"Kamala Harris polls just about as bad, if not worse in a lot of cases, than Joe Biden. And so they have a huge problem on their hands."
The only other solution would be for Biden to voluntarily pull out of the election, which creates another problem for Democrats. Yes, they get to replace him, and the electors can choose the candidate, but then they circumvent the American people, which creates a slew of problems in terms of perception. Trump stated:
"Millions of Americans came out in those primaries and voted for Joe Biden to be their nominee on the Democrat side.
"If they decide right here in the 11th hour to plug somebody else in, and it's not Kamala Harris, I can't think of a bigger assault to our democratic process than doing just that. But let's see what they do. Regardless if it's Joe Biden [or] Kamala Harris, Donald Trump's polls show us right now that the American people are behind him."
It is very frustrating to see people on Fox News and pundits on social media talking about replacing Biden without actually explaining the realistic ways this can happen. Furthermore, if Biden does step down, it would be the electors who decide the candidate, so they are really confusing the American people on how this would work right now. But rest assured, Biden has given no sign that he is willing to step down at this point, so until he does or Harris and the Cabinet invoke the 25th, which I doubt will happen, this remains Joe Biden's race.
