Ronnie Platt, the lead singer of the acclaimed rock band Kansas, has recently been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
The diagnosis led to the cancellation of several upcoming Kansas concerts as Platt prepared for surgery, Fox News reported.

"I met with my doctor today and found out I have surgery scheduled for March 4...So far, the prognosis has been very good.
