Jill Biden and Adviser Anthony Bernal Under Scrutiny for Alleged Cover-Up of Joe's Decline

Was the American public kept in the dark about President Joe Biden’s cognitive struggles, with his wife and a key adviser pulling the strings behind closed doors?

As reported by the New York Post, allegations have surfaced that former First Lady Jill Biden, alongside her senior adviser Anthony Bernal, played a central role in obscuring President Biden’s health challenges while pushing for his re-election bid.

Let’s rewind to the 2020 campaign, when Joe Biden famously camped out in his Delaware basement, citing COVID-19 concerns as the reason for limited public exposure.

Unmasking the Inner Circle’s Influence

During that time, Anthony Bernal, a trusted aide since Jill Biden’s days as second lady in 2008, was one of just two staffers permitted to relocate to Wilmington to assist the Bidens.

Bernal, who later earned the title of “special assistant to the president” and reportedly drew a top White House salary, became a gatekeeper of loyalty, allegedly interrogating aides and sidelining those deemed untrustworthy.

Fast forward to last year, when Biden grappled with abandoning his campaign after a faltering debate performance, and Bernal was again among the select few—only four aides—allowed by his side at his Rehoboth Beach vacation home.

Power Plays and Public Perception

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t hold back, stating Jill Biden “needs to answer” for shielding her husband from scrutiny.

Leavitt’s pointed critique from the press room podium—“lying to the American people”—raises a fair question: why the secrecy if there’s nothing to hide?

Then there’s Bernal’s reported behavior, with White House correspondent Steven Nelson alleging he “bullied and verbally harassed colleagues” for over a decade yet remained untouchable due to Jill Biden’s favor, hardly a glowing endorsement of workplace decency.

Taxpayer Resources and Trial Appearances

As Joe Biden’s presidency wound down, Jill Biden reportedly took the reins, campaigning solo on Air Force One with Bernal always in tow, even orchestrating Vogue covers and lavish overseas trips.

During Hunter Biden’s federal gun trial in Wilmington, Delaware, with opening statements on June 4, 2024, both Jill and Bernal were present, projecting an image of presidential clout despite Hunter’s eventual conviction on felony charges.

They even jetted to France on taxpayer's dime for a 24-hour stint to join Joe Biden for D-Day commemorations, only to rush back to the courtroom—talk about a tight schedule.

Investigations and Unanswered Questions

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer isn’t letting this slide, probing what he calls a “historic scandal” over whether Joe Biden was fit to sign executive orders, possibly via autopen, amid concerns about his mental state.

Comer has demanded interviews with Bernal and four other former aides, with potential subpoenas looming for Jill and Hunter Biden, signaling that accountability might just be around the corner.

Meanwhile, a recent Project Veritas undercover video featuring David Hogg and former staffer Deterrian Jones paints Bernal as a shadowy “Wizard of Oz-type figure” with “enormous power”—a description that’s as unsettling as it is telling.
