Jay North, the actor who brought Dennis Mitchell to life in the iconic sitcom "Dennis the Menace," has died.
According to Fox News, He passed away at his home in Lake Butler, Florida, on Sunday after a long battle with colon cancer.
Jay North's portrayal of the mischievous but endearing Dennis Mitchell made him a household name in the early 1960s. The show, which was based on a popular comic strip by Hank Ketcham, aired from 1959 to 1963, featuring more than 140 episodes.

According to Laurie Jacobson, "Our dear friend Jay North has been fighting cancer for many years and this morning at noon EST, Jay passed peacefully at home."
