One of the biggest scandals of the 2020 election cycle involved the FBI's handling of the Hunter Biden laptop.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) recently announced that the committee is seeking the FBI agent who authenticated the laptop and discussed its authenticity with Twitter censors.

When the Hunter Biden laptop story initially broke in the New York Post, I thought it was going to end Biden. Apparently, so did every other mainstream media news network and Biden allies because the coverup went into operation immediately. It all started with Biden and company saying that the laptop was likely Russian disinformation to help Trump win the election.
The media ran with that narrative immediately, not even bothering to investigate the laptop. By then, the FBI had the hard drive in its possession and could have released a statement on the matter to end all speculation, but that never happened. What did happen was a letter by 51 former intelligence officials who stated the laptop showed all the signs of Russian disinformation and was likely a fraud.
That was all the media needed at the time to say the story had been debunked. Joe Biden even used that letter to push back against allegations from Donald Trump during the debate, an argument that the moderators did not even challenge at the time. Of course, after the election was over, we learned the laptop was authentic, and this was all nothing more than a concentrated effort by the media and liberals to block Trump from winning the election. As close as the election was, there is little doubt that, had the laptop been treated as a truthful report, Biden would have lost that election.
We are now learning that an FBI analyst examined the laptop before the story was censored on social media. In fact, that analyst was reportedly in touch with Twitter content moderators before social media outlets restricted and blocked the "laptop from hell" story. Rep. Jordan wants to talk to that analyst to find out exactly what happened and why the story was censored. Jordan wrote:
"Even though the FBI had been in possession of this laptop for nearly a year and had verified the provenance of its contents, the FBI made the institutional decision to refuse to answer direct questions from social media companies about the laptop's authenticity—despite months of constant information sharing up to that time.
"Put simply, after the FBI conditioned social media companies to believe that the laptop was the product of a foreign malign influence operation, the FBI stopped its information sharing, allowing social media companies to censor the New York Post story on the incorrect basis that it was Russian disinformation."
According to the report, as the laptop was being verified, a second participant in the call, allegedly someone from the General Counsel's Office, stepped in and ended the conversation. That tidbit was revealed when Laura Dehmlow, section chief of the FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force, testified before the committee. She stated:
"Somebody from Twitter essentially asked whether the laptop was real. And one of the FBI folks who was on the call did confirm that, 'Yes, it was,' before another participant jumped in and said, 'no further comment.'"
There is no doubt there is a rogue element deeply embedded in our government that is and has been working against Trump. Keep in mind that this was also happening when Trump was in office, which goes to show just how deeply the establishment is connected and how badly misled or ill-informed Trump was about his alleged allies in office.
If Trump wins this election, I would say one of the things at the top of his list should be to appoint a non-partisan commission to audit the FBI, CIA, DOJ, and Secret Service for enemies within, which I would define as people in power pushing their political agenda over the mission of the agency.
