Last week, Kamala Harris finally visited the border, spending less than an hour getting a couple of photos that she could use for her campaign.
After boasting about her visit, both the Border Patrol union and her critics went nuts.

Harris was more or less forced to make a border visit before the election, so she picked a spot in Arizona that sees about as much traffic as a Chick-fil-A on Sunday. Ironically, in her photo-ops, Harris chose a spot where Donald Trump’s border wall had been erected, a project she referred to as a “vanity project” for Trump. Harris also took a shot at Trump, blaming him for legislation that failed when, in truth, the border legislation failed because Dems tied military aid to Ukraine and Israel into the legislation.
During this campaign, Harris has been trying to make herself the candidate for border reform, expecting everyone to ignore the fact she has been in office for the last four years while an estimated 10 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border. Her visit did not sit well with the Border Patrol Union.
The union blasted Harris on social media after her visit, posting:
“Vice President Harris has ignored the border problem she created for over three years. She goes down there for 20 minutes for a photo op and decides to repeat some of the things the NPBC has said before. But again, where has she been the last 3 ½ years?”
The Union also fact-checked Harris regarding comments she made during her speech about being responsible for increasing overtime pay for agents. The union stated:
“Fact check on the Harris speech in Douglas Arizona: Today, VP Harris claimed that she played a role in increasing Border Patrol Agent overtime pay.
“This couldn’t be further from the truth. As with all the things border related she was no where to be found when we needed her.”
Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake, who Trump has endorsed, also went on the attack after Harris visited her home state. Lake stated:
"I find it despicable.
"She spent 20 minutes on the border. She's been the border czar for almost four years now, and she came down, I think, to make her friends in the mainstream media happy so that they could finally say she visited the border, spent 20 minutes staring down at her feet, standing next to the wall, and I was surprised she didn't call Joe Biden and say, ‘We did it, Joe. We destroyed America,’ because that's exactly what they're attempting to do.”
Harris also took heat for her attire during the visit, wearing a necklace that is reportedly worth about $60,000. This does not exactly mesh with her “middle-class upbringing” narrative that she is trying to push on the American people.
This was very much like Biden’s visit, where an entire city was cleaned up and sanitized before Biden visited. Harris has spent about an hour in total at the border while being part of an administration that has set records for how many illegals have crossed. Honestly, I am surprised members of the Border Patrol even allowed themselves to be used in this way by Harris.
My two cents… I believe that if Harris wins, the border will get re-opened for another three years until they need to close it again during an election year, just like Biden did in January of this year. This is nothing more than a show, and there is no way we can allow her to win this election. We have to show up in the big league on election day and take back the White House.
