FBI Recorded James Biden During Bribery Probe

 December 19, 2023

In July, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released documentation from the FBI, an FD-1023, regarding an accusation that Joe Biden was allegedly involved in a foreign bribery scheme.

This week, yet another bombshell revelation came about as part of yet another bribery scheme where the FBI investigated Joe Biden’s brother, James.

Biden Bribery Allegations

In late July, Grassley publicly released the FD-1023 form regarding the allegations made against Joe and Hunter Biden regarding a bribery scheme that involved Burisma. The document contained information from an FBI informant alleging that $10 million in payments were made to the Biden’s, claiming that Mykola Zlochevsky, the CEO of Burisma, stated:

“It costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden.”

The FBI described its informant as “highly reliable,” yet that is where the investigation stopped. However, we are now learning that a second investigation was underway regarding James Biden, Joe Biden’s brother years prior.

FBI Investigation Reveals Audio of James Biden

The FBI had secretly recorded James Biden for an investigation into a payment made by an attorney to James Biden’s Lion Hall group in 1998 to help get tobacco-related legislation passed by Congress. The attorney, Richard Scruggs, stated:

“I probably wouldn’t have hired him if he wasn’t the senator’s brother.

“Jim was never untoward about his influence. He didn’t brag about it or talk about it. He didn’t have to. He was the man’s brother.”

Joe Biden did support the legislation, but it ultimately failed to pass, with then-Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) going ballistic on Republicans and lobbyists for the tobacco companies for the opposition to the legislation, which would have required Congress to waive antitrust provisions that were in place at the time.

The FBI recordings of James Biden regarding this case document James and Sarah Biden (James’ wife) creating the consulting firm, their inclusion of Hunter Biden in the company, as well as other business opportunities.

Analysis

House Republicans are now looking into James Biden’s Lion Hall Group as part of the review of the investigation into the alleged influence peddling by the Biden family with Joe Biden as both a Senator and Vice President.

In 2008, the attorney mentioned above, Richard Scruggs, was taken down in another bribery scheme where Scruggs and his associates were working out a deal to pay a local judge $40,000. Even though the Biden brothers were never implicated in the tobacco scheme, the fact that Scruggs has a history of bribing officials is not a good look for the Biden family.

The Lion Hall Group appears to be the key to this entire scheme, as multiple payments have been traced from overseas business interests to Hunter Biden to the Lion Hall Group to personal accounts of Sarah and James Biden, and finally to Joe Biden.

To this point, the Bidens have tried to play those payments off as loans by Joe Biden to Hunter and James Biden, but Republicans have yet to track down any initial payment from Joe Biden. Biden has not produced any proof there was an upfront loan payment, and the IRS whistleblowers stated they could not locate the upfront payment by Joe Biden in the records they reviewed.
