Any advantage you have, you use against your enemies and adversaries.
China has proven it is no friend of the United States, yet Biden may have just handed President Xi and his communist nation a massive win, which is just baffling experts.
According to most experts, the United States is ahead of the game when it comes to artificial intelligence.
One would think we would protect this technology as well as use it to our advantage.
Joe Biden, however, who is meeting with Chinese President Xi on Wednesday, is reportedly going to agree to limit the use of AI technology in nuclear weapons and military technology.
The general feeling of experts on this front was not very positive for the Biden administration.
For instance, Christopher Alexander, the chief analytics officer of Pioneer Development Group, openly questioned why Biden would forego having a strategic advantage over China.
He stated:
"This is an incredibly poor decision. To begin with, China lags behind the U.S. in AI capabilities; so the Biden administration just ceded a strategic advantage.
"Additionally, AI helps reduce stress to improve decision-making, which is crucial in preventing a poor decision to release nuclear weapons."
Samuel Mangold-Lenett, a staff editor at The Federalist, also questioned the integrity of China in this deal. He stated:
"It is foolish to believe China will honor any agreement limiting the use of AI in nuclear weapons. Look at the Paris Climate Agreement: despite agreeing to reduce carbon emissions, China continued to be one of the world's worst polluters. It similarly has no regard for human rights or intellectual property.
"Chinese leadership has no regard for agreements that could slow down its quest to destabilize the world order and displace the U.S. as hegemon. The U.S. should continue developing AI systems that ensure national security and advance our interests — our enemies will surely do the same."
From my viewpoint, this is pure hubris on the part of Joe Biden.
He deems himself to be a great world peacemaker, but we have seen how his strategy has failed global peace in just three years.
There is also the belief that China and Iran have something significant that is being held over Biden's head, possibly from the Hunter Biden business dealings.
This is speculation, but what other reason is there for Biden constantly caving to Iran and China when both countries have made it quite clear they have no intention of returning the favor?
Go back to COVID and how the Chinese blocked a proper investigation from being conducted. That was an opportunity to extend a legitimate olive branch in the name of global harmony, but they were clearly not interested.
How about Iran and the threats made against this country as well as the attacks against our troops in the Middle East, yet Biden still wants to be a friend to Iran instead of treating that country like the enemy/adversary it is.
It is hard to get over the fact that Biden is now shelving a significant strategic advantage the United States has over China, but for what purpose?
This is clearly something the White House needs to explain.
