George Santos, once a congressman representing New York, now faces a lengthy prison sentence.
According to Fox News, following his admission of committing wire fraud and identity theft, former Representative George Santos has been sentenced to 87 months in prison.
His sentencing concluded a tumultuous period that saw him ousted by his colleagues in the House last year due to a series of criminal charges. These charges were not limited to wire fraud and identity theft but also included falsification of records and credit card fraud.
At the sentencing in a U.S. District Court, George Santos exhibited visible emotion, the gravity of the situation rendering him tearful.
