Entire Biden Team in Denial Over Trump-Biden Polling

 May 15, 2024

Politicians lie and twist the facts… that is what they do when speaking to the public to gain favor.

Usually, however, they admit they know the truth behind the scenes, but that is not what is happening right now in the Biden campaign.

Talking Points…
- Creating their own reality
- Frustrations boiling over denials

Creating a Different Reality

This report actually explains why Biden continues to push the narratives that he is pushing and why his campaign refuses to change direction. Reports broke this week that as far as the Biden campaign is concerned, Joe Biden is doing just fine in polls, but we are just looking at the wrong polls and interpreting them wrong.

Biden has often told the media that they are looking at the wrong polls when they say that Biden is trailing Donald Trump. Now, if you look at recent polling, Biden is behind on most national polls as well as virtually every battleground state. Biden really believes that he is beating Trump, recently telling donors at a private event:

"While the press doesn't write about it, the momentum is clearly in our favor, with the polls moving towards us and away from Trump."

Biden told another group of donors that his campaign is up in "likely voters" compared to Donald Trump. He even said that he has a substantial lead against Donald Trump within this group of voters. Even Biden staffers are now pushing this narrative, with Biden Campaign Pollster Geoff Garin recently telling the media:

"The only consistency in recent public polls is inconsistency."

Frustrations Boiling Over as Biden Creates His Own Reality

Former senior Hillary Clinton adviser and longtime confidant Philippe Reines is baffled by the narrative that the Biden administration is pushing, saying that he believes if the election were held right now, Biden would lose. He recently told the media that he had no idea "what's going on here" in terms of what the Biden campaign is doing. He added:

"I'm not going to pretend these numbers are good, but…I agree… if the election were tomorrow, Joe Biden would probably not win."

Reines got it wrong by saying that Biden's team is not living "in a bubble" and that they know things are not "great." If you look at staff comments, that is exactly what they are doing. To that point, Fox News' Peter Doocy recently put White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre through the wringer on this issue, but all she offered were lame excuses.

Doocy pressed Jean-Pierre on nothing the administration is doing, but she responded that the American people see that Biden's plan is working. After a bit of back-and-forth on this, Jean-Pierre concluded:

"What the president is actually doing is popular with what the majority of Americans want to do. Even in protecting reproductive rights, something Republicans are not on the right side of history, you think about what extreme elected officials want to do, the president wants to protect and make sure we are giving a woman the right to make really difficult decisions on their healthcare."

Analysis

If I were to walk up to 100 people on the street in Texas and ask them what they thought about Biden's policies, I would wager at least 80% would say they are failing. I was recently visiting with friends in a very blue state, and not a single one of them were happy with their financial situation since Biden took over, and this was a 50-50 crowd in terms of conservatives and liberals. For us, it is great that Biden is living in this self-imposed reality, but for Democrats, this could be devastating if they don't accept reality as they could lose far more than the White House come November.
