Chaos erupted inside a bustling New York City courthouse when a man unleashed a vicious knife attack on two unsuspecting court officers, a shocking scene caught on surveillance video.
On Monday morning, a 37-year-old Queens resident, Jonathan Wohl, launched a brutal assault on security personnel at Manhattan Criminal Court, slashing two officers in a seemingly deliberate act of violence before being subdued by additional staff, the New York Post reported.
The incident unfolded around 9:30 a.m. at 100 Centre Street, as Wohl approached the metal detectors and suddenly struck, targeting a court officer with a blade.
Moments later, he unleashed his fury on a second officer, stabbing repeatedly until a swift response team tackled him into a barrier near the entrance.
Additional court officers rushed in, pinning Wohl to the ground, stripping him of his weapon, and securing him in handcuffs, ending the terrifying ordeal.
