According to Breitbart, Pete Hegseth, the Defense Secretary under President Donald Trump, has terminated two four-star generals and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, citing a shift towards prioritizing combat readiness and war-fighting.
The changes were announced on Friday evening, impacting some of the top military positions across services. Affected were Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Lisa Franchetti, Air Force Vice Chief of Staff General James Slife, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General Charles "CQ" Brown.
General Brown, who was appointed during former President Joe Biden's administration, is succeeded by Air Force Lieutenant General (Ret.) Dan "Razin" Caine. President Trump shared this update on his Truth Social platform, highlighting Gen. Brown's over four decades of service.
