Chinese National Arrested for Alleged Trespass at Mar-a-Lago, Claims Ties to Trump Assassination Attempt

 August 5, 2024

Zijie Li, a Chinese national from El Monte, California, was arrested at Mar-a-Lago for persistent trespassing while claiming to possess incriminating documents.

According to Breitbart News, Zijie Li tried to access the exclusive Mar-a-Lago club on several occasions, asserting he had proof of China's involvement in a plot against Donald Trump.

Zijie Li first approached Mar-a-Lago's main gate on July 19. He informed the Secret Service agents that he held documents connecting the Chinese government to the alleged assassination attempt on Donald Trump on July 13.

Multiple Warnings Given to the Persistent Trespasser

The agents promptly warned Li that he was trespassing and should not return to the premises. However, Li ignored these directives, making another attempt to enter on July 22, which was captured by town security cameras.

Despite previous warnings, Zijie Li approached the club again on July 30, where law enforcement found his GPS marked with the club's address. Li's actions culminated in his arrest on July 31 after he ventured near the property once more.

During his attempts to access the club, Donald Trump was present at Mar-a-Lago on some occasions, but not at the time of Li's final arrest. Li now faces a misdemeanor charge for trespassing and was placed on a $3,000 bond.

Documents Claiming Chinese Involvement in Assassination Plot

The authorities have yet to release the contents of the documents Li claimed to hold.

The entire incident has raised serious security concerns around the club and brought attention to the need for stringent measures.

Zijie Li reportedly drove to the front entrance in a gray Toyota Prius and explained to Secret Service agents why he wanted access. After this confrontation, Li was asked to leave, and he complied. However, he returned shortly after and was spotted again near Mar-a-Lago, resulting in his arrest.

From July 19 to his arrest on July 31, Zijie Li persistently attempted to enter the club despite multiple encounters with law enforcement and continuous warnings to abstain from trespassing.

Concerns Over Safety and Unauthorized Access Rise

The incident has highlighted concerns regarding the safety of high-profile individuals and the measures in place to prevent unauthorized access. It also poses questions about the mental state and intent behind Li's repeated trespass attempts.

As the legal process unfolds, the public and officials alike are on high alert regarding the implications of such erratic behavior and the alleged documents that spurred Li's actions.

Thus, the story of Zijie Li's repeated trespassing attempts at Mar-a-Lago, marked by claims of possession of critical documents on an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, continues to develop, shedding light on the complexities of security and political conspiracy theories.
