Charlie Colin, the renowned bassist and founding member of the famous band Train, has died unexpectedly.

Charlie Colin passed away at the age of 58 after a fatal fall in his shower while house-sitting in Brussels, Fox News reported.

His sister, Carolyn Stephens, confirmed his death in a Brussels home, where he resided and actively participated in the local music scene. At the time of his tragic accident, Charlie was house-sitting and fulfilling professional commitments in Brussels. He taught a master class at a conservatory and composed music for a film.

Charlie Colin spent his early years in Southern California and refined his musical talents at the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston. While in Boston, he began playing bass for the band Apostles, a significant period preceding his co-founding of Train in the early 1990s in San Francisco.

Under his artistic direction, Train became known for hits such as "Meet Virginia," "Drops of Jupiter,"Hey, Soul Sister," and "Marry Me." However, despite his success, Charlie left the band in 2003 due to struggles with substance abuse, an issue that affected both his professional and personal life.
