Campaign Organizer for Abigail Spanberger Mocks Charlie Kirk’s Death in Undercover Footage

 October 26, 2025, NEWS

Caught on camera, a campaign organizer for Virginia Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Abigail Spanberger displayed a shocking lack of decorum when discussing the tragic assassination of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.

In a stunning revelation, hidden camera footage shared by Human Events shows Maame Ama Deegbe, a staffer for Spanberger’s campaign, laughing and rolling her eyes while addressing Kirk’s murder just days after the incident, alongside other clips where she disparages both her own candidate and the Republican opponent, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, as New York Post reports.

The disturbing video, recorded on September 16, comes only six days after Kirk, a 31-year-old prominent conservative voice, was tragically killed during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10.

Mocking Tragedy with a Smirk

In the footage, Deegbe responds to an undercover reporter posing as a concerned voter, who probes the mood in Virginia following the assassination.

Her reaction is anything but somber—she laughs and rolls her eyes, even suggesting Kirk wasn’t a “good person” in her estimation.

What kind of message does this send about the campaign’s values when a staffer can so casually dismiss a life lost to political violence?

Disrespectful Remarks Caught on Tape

Deegbe’s comments get even more cavalier as she tells the reporter, “I can’t legally talk about the Charlie thing but if you want to talk about the Charlie thing, I have all the ears for you in the world. Like I wanna hear your thoughts,” as reported by Human Events.

That faux curiosity barely masks the disdain—what a way to dodge accountability while still reveling in the gossip surrounding a man’s death.

It’s hard to see this as anything but a cheap attempt to sidestep responsibility while smirking at a tragedy that shook many Americans.

Criticism of Candidates on Both Sides

But Kirk’s assassination isn’t the only topic Deegbe tackled with reckless abandon—additional footage shared by Fox News Digital reveals her slamming Spanberger as a “CIA agent” with apparent disbelief at having to support her.

In the same breath, she takes a swipe at Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, the first woman of color elected to statewide office in Virginia, with a wildly inflammatory claim about her views on slavery.

Such rhetoric isn’t just unprofessional; it’s a window into a mindset that seems more focused on shock value than substantive policy discussion.

Campaign Scandals Pile Up

Deegbe doesn’t stop there—she describes political campaigning itself as a “really big pyramid scheme” while boasting about the hefty paycheck she receives, as captured in the leaked clips.

Meanwhile, Spanberger’s campaign, already under fire for standing by another controversial figure, AG candidate Jay Jones, despite his own violent rhetoric against a GOP opponent, remains silent on this latest embarrassment.

With Spanberger holding a slim lead in the polls ahead of the November 4 election, one has to wonder if voters are paying attention to the company she keeps—or if her team’s silence speaks louder than any apology could.
