Biden Sends Kamala to Conference Prior to Big Fundraiser

 June 4, 2024

Joe Biden’s campaign team just made a pretty slick move to remove Kamala Harris from the picture.

While Biden will be shaking hands with big Hollywood donors, Harris is being sent off to a conference in Ukraine.

Major Biden Fundraiser Announced

Last month, one of the bigger stories for the Biden campaign was a major June fundraiser. This fundraiser was going to include some of the biggest names in show business, as well as former President Barack Obama. George Clooney and Julia Roberts will host it.

The event is set for mid-June and will also feature a grassroots event to encourage donors to give via social media platforms, with Clooney and Roberts sponsoring a competition. They will also lend their names and images to be lent to the campaign for fundraising emails and text messages to donors.

The Biden campaign is aware that Trump has been raising some big numbers, which was expected once the field was narrowed down. However, I doubt they thought the surge would be as significant as it has been, especially after the Trump conviction, which led to more than a $2 million per hour pace for two straight days for Trump. Biden’s campaign stated:

“We’re not under any illusion that he’s not going to narrow the gap.

“But what he can’t get back is the time we’ve had with all this money to do what we’ve done.”

Harris Sent to Conference Amid Major Fundraisers

Now, it would make sense to have both Biden and Harris at this fundraiser, as well as others that are reportedly in the works, but Joe is sending Kamala across the globe for a conference in Switzerland that he does not want to attend (let’s face it… all that travel wears Joe down).

The conference is a Ukraine peace conference that will begin on June 15, with her appearance at the conference being confirmed by Harris spokesperson Kirsten Allen, who stated:

“Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Lucerne, Switzerland, on June 15 to participate in the Summit on Peace in Ukraine.”

Allen added that Kamala Harris “will underscore the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s effort to secure a just and lasting peace, based on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and the principles of the UN Charter.”

Analysis

Zelensky is not happy about being stiffed by Biden, but he is pretty much a vagrant begging for scraps right now, so I doubt Biden is worried about that. However, Zelensky is making noise about it, saying that Biden’s absence will be “personally applauded by Putin, and it will be a standing ovation.” Personally, I am a little sick and tired of hearing Zelensky’s complaints, so that is falling on deaf ears.

What I would like to say, however, is that this is a pretty slick move by Biden to keep Harris away from donors as more and more Dems are demanding that Biden step down and allow someone else to carry the torch in this election. If you needed more proof that Biden has no intention of being removed from this ticket, I think you just got it.
