The term of the current head of the Office of Special Counsel is just about to expire.
Biden has nominated Hampton Dillinger to take over the office, someone who previously worked at the same law firm as Hunter Biden.
The mission statement of the Office of Special Counsel is to safeguard the “merit system by protecting federal employees and applicants from prohibited personnel practices, especially reprisal for whistleblowing.”
In a nutshell, this is about protecting whistleblowers and rooting out government corruption.
Biden’s nominee, Hampton Dellinger, previously worked at a private law firm with Hunter Biden.
Optics are a huge deal here, and they are not very good.
There is a sitting president with an impeachment inquiry for having involvement in his son’s business activities.
Biden claims he has no knowledge of these activities, yet he hires someone to oversee a corruption office that worked with Hunter right smack dab in the middle of the Burisma nonsense.
These two also clearly knew each other, as there are emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop of communications between the two, with Dellinger even inviting Hunter out to the attorneys’ luncheon for the firm.
To me, this is Biden flaunting his power and believing that he will never be held accountable for anything he has done.
This, by the way, is not the first time that Dellinger has worked for the Biden administration.
Prior to this appointment, he served in the Office of Legal Policy from October 2021 to June 2023.
My guess is that he left that position to prepare for this appointment.
The number of people in this administration who are entangled with Hunter Biden and the business he was conducting when Joe Biden was vice president is staggering.
For instance, Antony Blinken and John Kerry were both sounding boards for Hunter on various issues related to his business interests in Ukraine and other parts of the world. It would not be a stretch to call them Hunter’s mentors.
Biden is basically keeping anyone who knows anything close.
Again, if this were happening in a Republican administration, the media would be up in arms. If something like this happened when Trump was in office, there would have been pitchforks and torches outside the White House.
Yet, it is not even registering for the mainstream media, as Biden continues to flaunt his corruption, and nobody seems to care even a little.
