Reports surfaced on Sunday that Joe Biden was hosting a large BBQ at the White House.
Needless to say, the reaction by conservatives was less than positive when they found out this was how Biden was occupying his time while casualties were happening in Israel.
The White House press pool was stunned when they heard a "live band" coming from the grounds of the White House on Sunday afternoon.
A pool reporter wrote:
"In the late afternoon and early evening, a live band could be heard coming from the area near the Rose Garden. Your pooler asked why a band was playing. From the White House: The President and First Lady are hosting a BBQ for White House Executive Residence Staff and their families."
The reaction when the report went live was predictable and deserved.
Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) posted:
"While Hamas holds Americans hostage, Joe Biden is enjoying a picnic with a live band."
Steve Guest also commented, posting:
"As the expression goes, Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
"Joe Biden is LITERALLY attending a BBQ and listening to a live band play while Israel burns due to Hamas terrorist attacks. History repeating itself."
There were a few other X posts that hit the nail on the head…
Given recent events, and certainly with the news of many Americans being held hostage in Gaza, I think I would have cancelled the White House BBQ with the live band.

There is a thing called optics, of which Joe Biden seems to be clueless.
I get that he wants to show staff his appreciation, but I doubt anyone who attended that party would have been upset with rescheduling the party, considering the situation.
Joe Biden should have been in that Oval Office burning up the phones, getting support for Israel, and finding out what is happening to the Americans who are still alive and those who were kidnapped.
Past presidents have been destroyed in the media for optics in situations like this, including both Obama and Trump, yet Joe Biden is pretty much getting a free ride here.
This man has abandoned Americans behind enemy lines in Afghanistan. His sloppy withdrawal resulted in the death of 13 American troops and hundreds of innocents.
He has made trades with terrorist nations, resulting in Americans being kidnapped and held for ransom, including in Mexico and now Israel.
He has yet to be held accountable for any of this mess by the mainstream media because his presidency followed that of the bad orange man.
When do we say enough is enough and come to the realization that this man's weak foreign policy is to blame for this entire mess?
