New Orleans witnessed a solemn moment as President Biden and the first lady participated in a memorial.
On January 6, 2025, the memorial service for the New Year's Day truck attack victims took place, capturing the attention of the nation, Fox News reported.
The Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Louis, King of France, hosted the memorial, an interfaith prayer service, in the heart of the French Quarter. This historic site stands less than a mile from where the tragedy unfolded.

Investigations revealed that Jabbar had made a makeshift disposal of evidence by setting ablaze the house he rented on Mandeville Street in New Orleans. Traces of RDX, a military-grade explosive, were found at this location, hinting at Jabbar's intended plans and the severity of the attack.
The ATF’s investigation at Jabbar’s temporary residence concluded on January 5, 2025. Significantly, their findings pointed to Jabbar’s inexperienced handling of explosive devices, essentially preventing a potentially more devastating result.
In particular, the Bureau noted Jabbar's rudimentary attempt at assembling a bomb, evidenced by his inappropriate use of an electric match to ignite the explosives.
