America First Legal obtained the photos, which include Joe Biden meeting Chinese officials and executives, such as Jonathan Li and Ming Xue of BHR Partners. This firm, closely tied to Hunter Biden, has been at the center of concerns about the family leveraging political ties for business opportunities.
The images, captured during a trip where Biden met President Xi Jinping, include a hotel handshake between Joe Biden and Li, as Hunter later confirmed to Congress. America First Legal claims these moments demonstrate Hunter Biden’s use of his father’s political standing to foster relationships with influential Chinese figures.
Emails from 2017 add to the scrutiny, revealing Hunter Biden’s efforts to secure shared office space with his father and Chinese energy company representatives. A separate email from the same year requested a $10 million wire transfer to fund a joint venture, further intertwining the Bidens with foreign business interests.
Critics argue that these interactions, combined with Hunter’s previous actions, underscore a long-standing pattern of using Joe Biden’s political career for personal financial gain. Michael Ding, legal counsel for America First Legal, commented on the mounting evidence.
