A former top Democratic fundraiser says Ashley Biden threatened her with a lawsuit on Instagram after she went public about a cover-up of Joe Biden's cognitive decline, a threat so crudely worded that the fundraiser called it a "parody."
Lindy Li, once a prominent DNC fundraiser who raised money for both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, told Fox News Digital that Ashley Biden, daughter of the former president and First Lady Jill Biden, posted the threat in February of last year. The post was taken down roughly one day later, but Li kept screenshots and shared them with Fox News Digital.
Li details the episode in her book "Unburdened," which chronicles what she describes as the Democratic Party's internal effort to shield Biden from public scrutiny over his fitness for office. The threat, Li says, came after she began speaking openly about what she saw as a deliberate cover-up of the president's decline.
In her book, Li quotes the Instagram post directly. Ashley Biden wrote, per Li's account:
"This woman is a bonavide [sic] liar. Karma is a real bad b****, Lindy. I don't know you but can't wait to meet your a** in court. Ready for a lawsuit? Let's go! I won't put up with this BS anymore."
Li described the post's tone as "a bravado so crude it bordered on parody." Ashley Biden's representation did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Li also pushed back on Ashley Biden's claim not to know her. Li shared photos of herself with Ashley Biden with Fox News Digital, suggesting the two had met previously. That detail undercuts the "I don't know you" line in Ashley Biden's post and raises questions about whether the threat was crafted more for public consumption than legal substance.
No lawsuit was ever filed. Li says the threat amounted to intimidation, nothing more.
"They wanted to scare me. That was the goal."

"When I went on Shannon's show to say [Biden needs to step aside], and three hours later he did, my access immediately vanished and all my fears about speaking up were justified."
Before that appearance, Li says she had been invited to the White House every two to three weeks. There was always an event, always a reason to be there. Afterward, the invitations stopped entirely. She never spoke to Biden again.
Li described the cost of speaking up in stark terms:
"I knew that if I spoke up my life would be ruined and frankly, in that respect, it was. I was never invited to the White House again, never spoke to Biden again. Prior to that, I was invited to the White House every two to three weeks. There was always some event."
