The trouble began with rioters hurling rocks at police vehicles and officers, even targeting moving law enforcement cars in Paramount, California, as captured on video. One suspect, Elpidio Reyna, was identified as an adult throwing stones at federal officers and remains at large, with the FBI initially offering a $50,000 reward for information on his whereabouts. It’s a stark image of lawlessness that’s hard to ignore.
The chaos didn’t stop at rocks—agitators escalated the violence by launching Molotov cocktails and fireworks directly at police officers and their vehicles. On Saturday, ICE agents in Los Angeles arrested a previously deported individual from Mexico for allegedly trying to injure officers with a fiery projectile. Prosecutors have now charged him with attempted murder. Law enforcement has made it clear: they won’t treat these dangerous attacks lightly.
