About Capitalism Institute

Capitalism Institute is a non-partisan educational publication focused on explaining how capitalism works in practice—and why sound economic systems matter for human flourishing. We aim to be clear, serious, and useful, not ideological for ideology’s sake.

Our mission

Our mission is to advance economic and financial literacy by publishing accessible, evidence-based content that helps readers understand markets, incentives, policy tradeoffs, and the real-world outcomes of economic ideas.

Who we serve

Capitalism Institute is written for a primarily U.S.-based audience—students, working adults, parents, and readers who want plain-English explanations of economics, policy, and current events without academic jargon or partisan scripting.

Editorial focus

We publish content in several core areas:

  • Economic explanations and education (inflation, interest rates, debt, markets, trade, taxation)

  • Policy analysis that connects proposals to incentives and outcomes

  • Business and markets coverage when it helps explain broader economic realities

  • History and civics as they relate to economic development and prosperity

  • Practical financial literacy (budgeting, saving, investing concepts, and common pitfalls)

Perspective and transparency

Capitalism Institute supports market-based capitalism and believes it has historically been the strongest framework for broad-based prosperity. We also believe capitalism is often misunderstood—and that serious discussion requires nuance rather than slogans.

We are not affiliated with any political party, and our goal is to evaluate ideas based on evidence, incentives, and outcomes, not on tribal politics.

Human editorial oversight

Our content is written and reviewed by human staff. We aim to be careful with factual claims, link to primary sources when practical, and correct errors when identified.

Our tone

Our tone is plain-spoken, constructive, and reality-based. We prefer clarity over outrage and education over performance.
